Does big_orc_zombie (the base frame) remind anyone else of a ninja turtle?

default, mounted, drake, wose, saurian, troll & fish have been commited to both 1.2 and trunk.
I haven't done the missing shadows for the other variations, now he have to decide which one we'll add to the game.
btw dwarf and big_orc can be readyready quite fast (only a few shadows are missing).

Status update :
1.2 (stable) has the following variations : standard, mounted, drake, saurian, wose, troll, swimmer (= fish)
1.3 (trunk) have all those variations + dwarf (some other might be added later)
Walking Corpse:
Done :
- base frame for all variations
- attack (north, south and diagonal) frame for all variations
- defend frame for all variations
- die animation (3 frames) for the wose variation
Todo :
- Die animations for all variation except wose
(IMHO this can wait after the soulless)
Soulless:
They need to be redone.
IMHO some partial recolor might work as a temporary solution / starting base.
Some idea for further WC/soulless differentiation :
- saurian : bigger/mighter saurian (this is what wasused before)
- wose : bigger wose (elder wose zombie ?)
- troll : adult troll (not a troll whelp zombie)
I don't know for the others...

School is taking my time again and I'll be absent for a while now.
Sorry I left so much work half-done...
Current events of real-life have been very unexpected and have taken a lot of attention.
Well, I'm not leaving completely empty handed: I had a couple of these undeads done and I'll post 'em now. First some soullesses...

I wish I had more time in my hands.
That wolf rider is cute
IMHO the big_orc variation (wc & soulless) haves a problem: they are hardly identifiable as animated corpse, they rather look like a living orc.
One possible fix would be to break a part of the helmet, so we could see his zombified head.
Other than that, they look good.
Currently we only use the dwarf extra variation (1.3), btw the naga is IMHO the most likely to make it if it gets completed (there was some frames missing IIRC).

I bring this up again and hope it'll keep running now...
Here's a zipful of standing frames including Soulless, Riding Soulless, Dwarf Soulless, Lizard Soulless, Troll Soulless and an Orc Soulless-tryout.
I'm unsure what to do with the Swimmer and the Drake... Drake'll be a tough nutter that's for sure.

the fish zombie is really hard to see on the map when it is partially submerged

I would make the fish soulless a replacement for fish zombie. I'm not sure how much work has gone into the old one, but through some bizarre stroke of serendipity and convergent evolution, the soulless you just made looks extremely similar in shape to my new L1 mermen, which I actually haven't shown anyone yet.Sapient wrote:the fish zombie is really hard to see on the map when it is partially submerged
It looks great; for the time being we could use it as the soulless, but it wouldn't hurt to make another one afterwards.
