It probably won't fit in a dungeon scenario, but maybe it can be useful elsewhere.

P.S. this is my first unit so please tell me what you think.
Graphic wise it's very nice, glad to have you contributing to wesnoth;

HOWEVER I'd suggest making your own thread for unit art, there's a bigger chance that people will actually comment on what you made if you have a personal art thread; otherwise it's very good though.

Paedie: Pretty nice, but it needs more brightness. :? Plus, I'm not sure what kind of stats a giant frog should have.

Mod: Split paedie's post and responses to a new thread?

I posted the frog here because I thought it could be used as a random crep in a swamp scenario.
I'll make some changes and maybe some new frames/other creatures when I have time and post them in a new thread.

I wanted to try an experiment...I don't think it turned out as good as it could have. I'll probably end up redoing parts of it. Basically I wanted to try something lizard-oid, but I guess that should be left to Neorice, the Lizard Master.

Anyway - it's a lava wyrm.
Level 4
HP: 133
Moves: 3
Move costs: It takes 1 movement point over lava and can't go on any other terrain.
Regenerates
Attacks:
22-3 bite melee fire
20-2 horns pierce melee charge
Resistances:
20% to Blade
0% to Pierce
20% to Impact
60% to Fire
-50% to Cold
20% to Holy

EDIT: Also note, it's big. Only its head shows above the surface of the lava. That's why I only did the head + neck.

What's its alignment? Lawful (obvious), Neutral (boring), or Chaotic (plain silly)?

Now I want to draw something....
I think the froglet should have ranged slow attack. Or something.
The bats (You know Batz dolls? And how they kill D&D Barbie?) should have 20-25 hp, 70% defense, and 2-8 attack. But I don't know, really. I don't think they should have drain, because real vampire bats don't fly and real 'fake vampire' bats are really big. And I can't remember if they suck blood anyway. And drain just makes it so much hassle to kill them that it isn't worth it.

Flametrooper: I'm not really one to criticise art, but it's from the wrong angle--If it were in the game, it would look like a bizarre, floating pool of slime on the lava. That could be kinda cool, actually... Also, it's jaw isn't really defined well enough. but the textures, oh, the textures... *burns my hand off trying to stroke it*

You know wight, that actually pretty damn good.
Later, as an exercise, I might try and improve it.

Reiterate:
Jetryl wrote:Awesome. If these get decent animations (e.g. a good attack frame, or a few attack frames for the big ones, and a defend frame or two), I'd be game for adding them to mainline, under the "monsters" listing.

Dying frames, for the larger ones, would also be sweet.
Neo frequently doesn't animate the units he makes, so whoever, feel free to provide animation frames.
Feel free to PM me if you start a new terrain oriented thread. It's easy for me to miss them among all the other art threads.

I tried to hack together a simple attack animation for the cute little imp guy. This is my first try at sprite animation, but I think it turned out quite ok. What do you all think?

I'll try to do a defence frame tomorrow.
