I've already done it.
I later completed the Ford of Abez, killing everything, and now I'm on Dwarven Doors.

For the Ford of Abez, I lured Li'sar out of her spawn and made a reinforcement royal guard spawn there. Li'sar was never able to get back in and recruit.
She eventually died. Glad I don't have to deal with her for the rest of the campaign.

Dwarven Doors is a fun map. It's laughable how the AI chases a gryphon halfway around the map while you pick off stragglers. 3 Silver Mages + 4 Gryphon Masters > this.
The problem is, my Silver mages end up getting most of the kills, and denying XP to my red mages / white mage / knights.

You know what's even funnier? On both those scenarios, I didn't recruit any units, I just made a dash with all of my heros to the correct point, and won around turn 5 or 7 with more gold than I started.

Who to make Holy?

Post by Balis »

What unit will benefit most from gaining a holy melee attack? I already have 2 paladins and a mage of light. If I give it to a Marshall does that mean his holy melee will REPLACE his blade melee? Blade is pretty useful against assassins etc. It would make more sense if the Holy attack is in addition as you're still getting clobbered with a big sword (and if this is the case then ignore me as a fool!).

How about giving it to a red mage? Or should I recruit a brand new horseman and build him up into a Grand Knight? Questions, Questions!

The holy water is not permanent, so you shouldn't worry about it harming you later in the campaign.
For I am Turin Turambar - Master of Doom, by doom mastered. On permanent Wesbreak. Will not respond to private messages. Sorry!

Oh?
... Oh beep, seems she survived being trampled by a GK at the ford of abez. At least she seems to be on my side for the time being.
