Question: I was wondering if the naga are ever going to get a ranged attack?

Better Question: Would it be something like a sword throw?

P.S. Keep up the good work all! :D

I think Jetryl is planning to rework the Nagini as a separate, ranged attacking line, possibly using chakrams. And no, it probably wouldn't be a sword throw. Swords are, contrary to what the movies would have you believe, almost impossible to throw with any range, accuracy or effect. They're too big, and not balanced for it.

I think a sword can be thrown if it's thrown like... up. It would smash the thrower's toes, through.

Anyway, sorry about that.
The Naga portrait is just too awesome! :D I can't say anything else.

Re: Girgistian's naga sketch.

The snakey half of him needs to be a good deal thicker, especially near his 'waist'.
Currently, the serpentine portion of his body looks incapable of supporting the mass of his torso.

Noted, I'll see to it later this evening. Thanks.

And yeah, sword-throwing's not practical. Aside from balance and weight reasons, you'd need to carry a lot of extra metal with you to be able to effectively use swords as ranged weapons

Sounds pretty cool. Then they could keep the extra ones on the tip of theil tail, like the Sikhs used their turbans. That way, they could shake them to make sound, like rattlesnakes. 8)

:o That naga is cool. Nice work!

Also; much as Sgt. Groovy said - there's no need for a female version, because I'm switching nagini into being a separate unit line.

Yay, approvals galore.
So there's no need for the buckler?

To my mind, you'd probably be better off adding either the buckler or a second sword, since no level of the unit is going to have an empty second hand.

Side remark: There are actually toy bows that "work" like that.

Quick comment on the orcish assassin: This could be just me, but he looks like he's wearing a surgeon's mask. Maybe he fears getting bird flu from some undead bat? I'd suggest making the piece of fabric bigger and maybe a bit looser.

EDIT: Oh, and otherwise they look great!

Yeah. If we're gonna shoot for "one portrait fits the whole line", the second sword might be preferable (since 2/3 of the line will be like that).

The only way sword throwing is practical is if the "sword" is about six inches long and finely balanced.
And even then it's not great for any distance past, say... Ten meters ;)

Wicked cool naga portrait. Though, is it just me, or is his torso awfully thick compared to his tail? :/

I have some concerns about the knives strapped to the slayer's body, particularly around the legs. The one strapped to the inside of his thigh looks a bit awkward to use and carry. The one on his buttocks looks even more so, and to me it could be construed as actually sticking into him. And there's another one that looks like it could fall out at any moment on the back of his left leg, although I presume that there's some sort of catch that stops it from coming out when he doesn't want it to.

I've never tried strapping knives to my body, though, so my opinion doesn't carry all that much weight.
I'm a newbie. Don't listen to what I say.

The idea behind the knives strapped to the slayer's body was to make him have a ridiculous amount of weaponry, as a slight touch of humour to an otherwise overly macho concept (really, a troop type that's called "slayer"?)

Anyways, here's a redraw of the bone shooter. I didn't bother to fix the arrows to be more "bony", just tried to make to bow look more realistic. Satisfied, or is it still too curved?

EDIT: Also, the hopefully fixed axe of the deathknight
