It's really, really aggravating to have to clean something up after the fact - which I did here - I practically had to trace over the entire thing (some bucket fills, but ... honestly - none of this should have been necessary).
Oh dear, I didn't know. If I didn't do it right with this fighter frame, let me correct it this time; that way I can figure out what I did wrong.

As for the fighter frame, I only made one, which I intended to be shown directly after the current one.
I think it's clean. :) I'll know when I see the TC in-game.

It looks clean to me, but the shield looks uncomfortably close to the body - moving it to the right by one or two pixels would make it look a little less squashed IMO.

Is this better? (I hope I didn't leave a mess again...)

the problem I see, is that the shield is facing south, and you need to face it southeast.

The slight move down is better, but the shield needs to move to our right, forwards for the dwarf, not in towards his body, i think. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I applied TSI's suggestion to this one, and originally jdsampayo's suggestion, but I thought didn't look right. Is it any better?

That looks better to me - his arm is in a more comfortable position, and the shield is as well.

I find it good but not for the final frame of the animation, this way it will need another one like your steelclad-defend-2. Actually this is equivalent to the steelclad-defend-1, because the position of the shield IMHO.

The animation looks fine to me, besides it being a bit fast:

Assuming that the fighter frames can be considered done (?), I 've made an extra frame for the bowman's attack animation. I've also made a little animation showing it being played with the existing frames its supposed to work with:

This is a pretty minor issue, but the little "wings" on the shadow on your dwarf defend frame should probably be removed.

I will suggest that you move the hand with the bow a little closer to the other side in your first frame, to make the illusion that he switched weapons. And in the third frame, you can move it back, because in the three frames, that hand doesn't move at all.

Probably you could take this as reference:

Eh, you should first completely redraw the bowman sword standing frame. The current one is really ugly and the transition between it and the bow standing frame even more so. Rather have him draw the sword in his right hand instead of the left (just like the longbowman and master bowman do) so the bow doesn't need to move around in a silly manner.

It would be worth referring to the higher level and undead bow lines' melee animations - this animation needs basically completely re-doing, not just to be given extra frames.
