Right, this was a misunderstanding of Johann when he first drew the picture. Nonetheless, it is a good picture of older Delf. I don't find that it looks evil, either; it shows his power and his resolve.

We could make a pool, which Delfador portrait is the best one...

I agree with allefant, IMO this was the best portrait of the old mage. :D

There a reason highhole keeps posting stuff about old art?

Or you could replace the portrait in your folder with whatever one you like best. Done deal!

That'll make Jetryl happy, it's his favourite style for making portraits I believe.

I just noticed, the portrait allefant posted has tiny hands.

Hand, not hands. :)

And that's something that can be fixed relatively easily.

There are many, many other things wrong with that portrait, and that is why it was removed. The hand was just the tip of the iceberg.

Personnally i still like the old portrait a lot.
IMHO, the old one clearly looks like a old, powerful magician (probably the staff and cloth colors help there).
The new one doesn't give this impression enough and could probably be mistaken for something else.

On the new one, he looks very tired, old, and like if he had lost a lot of his powers, even though he looks wiser.

The new one also looks like he could need a haircut - or like he previously had long hair, and an Orc just teared off most of it :)

My only complaint is that he looks fatter in the unit pic than in most of the portraits. Either skinny up the sprite, or fatten up the portraits.

IMO the old one looked better although he had such a deformed style. The new one and me never got friends.
