There is only one map but 7 different scenarios in this campaign (6 options choice in the first scenario and then one second scenario). You can choose which enemy you will fight with your zombie army so gameplay and dialogues greatly varies depending your decision. There are 6 factions of enemies in the first scenario, recruiting different sets of units, balanced against your zombie army. And the second scenario is absolutely unique, you have to fight against zombies with level0 spiders, rats and snakes.
Play on the side of a young peasant with a plague staff that is eager to become a lich! Wipe out various types of enemy that standing on his way to Mal-Ravanal's capital.
You can recruit 6 types of zombies: Bats, Trolls, Saurians, Swimmers, Woses, Dwarfs.
Small but very well worked map, 14 villages.
3 level of difficulties. On Hard main hero starts at level0, on Normal at level1, on Easy at level2. Main hero have leadership over zombies and can heal them, the higher the level of hero, the higher are effects.
Can be downloaded at 1.12 add-ons server.
I hide initially published post under the spoiler below.
Normally zombie is a unit that no way can be used as a main force. The fact is that level0 zombie is too weak and slow so he can not compare with level1 units. If you get zombie in the battle by killing unit with plague - well, there is some use from it, but not much and with high probability he would be killed fast.
What I really wanted is to see all variety of zombies as a main force to recruit. All types in one scenario! I never seen such things, it could be a zombie-presentation scenario.
I mean 'exotics' zombies: zombie bats, zombie saurians, zoblie drakes, zombie dwarves, zombie trolls, zombie woses, mounted zombies and so on.
You may ask - they all just zombies with plague crush attack, almost the same, what is the interest of having them all in the recruit list?
First of all, I like zombie sprites. I like they look different.
But actually they are not so similar as it may seem despite they all called Walking corpses. They have different 1) movement/defence terrain statistics and 2) resistance statistics and 3) Number of HP and MP statistics inherited from their races. Moreover bat zombie and drake zombie can fly.
So there a lot of differencies that can be used tactically. Obviously zombie woses would be good at forest while defending against pierce attacks, they have most HP compared to other zombies. Saurian zombies are good at swamps, dwarf zombies at mountains and so on.
It is possible to create tactically intresting scenario with only zombies to recruit.
I already have a plotline for this in my mind. The idea is somehow similar to my own campaign.
Imagine that in some village mage of lights and local militia detected one necromancer and was able to capture him. What they did is burned him at the stake. They burned him with his plague staff. One curious young peasant with strange interests wanted to take the skull and bones of the necromancer. What he founded in the ashes is that somehow the necromancer's staff was unaffected by fire. So he took that staff, and that staff had an evil spirit in it, so he that spirit started to influence that young peasant. He told him that he should go and join Mal-Ravanal's army at the east and became an immortal lich. So the young peasant agreed to it and became enthuthiastic about becoming a lich. He left village and started his way through the mountains to the east swamps. During the way he met different types of creatures and converted them all into zombies while the spirit of the staff was giving him advices. After he finished the pass through the mountains he found that he have to pass the final obstacle - the enemy camp with the leader that can recruit (probably human bandits). So he gets his own camp and can recruit all that types zombies that he met before, can capture villages and so on. Once he kills the leader, the scenario ends. Also I want to say that I already have sprites for the main hero that would be identical to the sprites that I have for main hero in Chapter I of my campaign, and even a portrait of him. It is supposed that the hero can level up as the staff transforms, and he can heal zombies and have leadership over them.
So what do you think?
