[AnH] - A new Home

This is the Thread for "A new Home", a proloque for the "the Vilkai" faction campaign.

It will have 8 (5 main-, +3 pure dialoque) scenarios and tells the story about Denvan, his wife and some more people who have to flee due a great orcish attack.
As long as the campaign is in process, some dialoques will be in my native language, german, but it will be available in english and german, probably in version 0.9

Also, I recommend to play in Wesnoth version 1.13, since im developing it in this version.

Gosh, I feel like an Idiot. I have a little Problem with my scenarios. I'm doing the third scenario right now. The first one is kinda done, and the second scenario is dialoque-only. The Problem is, somehow I cant recall units in the third scenario.
do I need a marco or something elso to create a recall list for further scenarios ?

Well, guess I found my mistake. I changed the Leader in the third scenario, wich leads me to another question: is it possible to carry over a recall-list from a Leader to another leader, in case the leader changes within the Campaign ?

Edit: nevermind, got it.

You can define a save_id within the [Side]-Tag. the recall-list now appears for sides with the same save_id, not the id of the first Leader. (:

Hi Bitron, I downloaded the last version but I got the following error

The following add-on had errors and could not be loaded:
[...]/.local/share/wesnoth/1.12/data/add-ons/A_New_Home/_main.cfg

Please report this to the author or maintainer of this add-on.

Details:

Macro/file '~add-ons/A_new_Home/maps/01_an_orcish_attack.map' is missing
at ~add-ons/A_New_Home/scenarios/01_an_orcish_attack.cfg:6
included from ~add-ons/A_New_Home/_main.cfg:36


I suspect you recently renamed the folder, cause the capital N in 'A_New_Home' is inconsistent with the folder specified for the maps in each scenario.

That was not supposed to happen. :O Actually, I did not change the name, I have now clue how that could happened. ^^ In 1.13 it works fine however.

I played your campaign. It was real fun. Great.

Where does corrections of the translation goes?

Like these two examples:

Just finished yer prequel. I liked those battles, and it was nice to have a bunch of loyal units. because I dont understand deutch, I cant tell bout dialoges.
Just scenario Into the north seems weird, enemy leader Morgal doesnot move to recruit...all those orcish units cant move, just that orcish assasin and goblin king who arrives in south...

Oh, wow, that comes suprisingly. Thanks to the both of you for having a look into it. (:

Well, my coworker and I hadn't worked on this campaign for month now.
"into the north" is not finished at all, that's why it seemed weird. We had a plan what to do, but didnt make it to implement all of it. Long story short, we finally get back to work there will be some huge changes, only the first three will remain similar to how they are now.
Of course we will translate it to english aswell once the dialoques are finished in our native language. (:

Since the campaign is *work in process* we don't bother much about corrections because the dialoques could change every day. Corrections and translation will come when we are sure the scenarios are good enough for a V1.0 release. (:
