Hello! I started AotDs and i m at the twin hammers scenario and i have to kill General Uther with Aeldohoryan but i dont have him . What should i do?

Maybe try to replay the previous scenario - an event may note have occured properly?

Hi, I'm having the same issue, and in the next scenario Aetheryon won't spawn and the log says

<Invalid WML found> [unstore_unit]: variable 'aetheryon_emperor_store' doesn't exist

playing on wesnoth 1.14.9, campaign v. 1.0.5 (updated), on Ubuntu studio 20.04.4

is there a fix for this?
I'm loving the trilogy and it would be a pity not to be able to follow the adventure to its end

For Aetheryon, you should redo the last scenario with him. Maybe a bug there occured.

Still haven't figured how to play Spear of Irdya properly, but I could end the campagin without playing it.

For the arcane_focus bug, I just edited the .cfg files and changed arcane_focus to arcane (and Jinx to Daze for the strange cats), both in Aria of the Dragon Slayer files and in the concerned era (legends?) files. I kept a copy of the original .cfg files. Also, the arcane_focus bug was making the game veeeeeery slow when coming to my turn (had to wait like 2-3 minutes for the game to give me my turn back...).

The scenario just ends after the dialogue. I can't even play it (I tried to restart it a few times, but nothing... in hard and normal mode, Wesnoth 1.14.9, Windows 10). The events are not triggered, and I'm sent to the next scenario. It doesn't prevent me to play the end of the campaign, just this scenario - and to know what happened, I read the cfg files for the story.

I recently played Aria, and ran into the same thing. I fixed it by adding the line

That way, the scenario won't end even though side 3 has no leader. The dragon Svarballi is not specified as the leader, and without a leader, the game considers side 3 defeated immediately at the end of Turn 1.

I don't know if it'll work for you, but thought I'd throw it out. I don't like that scenario that much because the dragon is overpowered and eats up all your veteran units. And there isn't much you can do about it, other than run.

If I knew that beforehand, I would avoid recruiting them at the beginning to save them for later scenarios So I'll give you that warning too :D

I ran into this problem too after the Key to the Past level, and noticed that it was because my save file sizes ballooned from 300k to 10meg. I had to replay that level after getting around the arcane_focus bug, and dump my old save file, in order to avoid lag in future scenarios.

If you just :n past the Key to the Past level, after seeing the arcane_focus bug messages, and keep using that save file, I think you'll suffer from bloated save file + lag in future scenarios.

I fixed the arcane_focus bug in a different way than you did. For what it's worth, I added a line

Aria of the Dragon-Slayer has been updated to v 1.0.4.12 on the 1.16 server.
+ adding missing unit Orb
+ Fix campaign description
+ fix AMLA trees of certain key characters

As others have noted, "Father and Son" is bugged. Aetheryon never shows up on the screen (and Tenma is off in the corner in an impassible space), so the victory conditions can never be achieved. I'm using version 1.16.6.

I hope this one can get fixed! I'm playing through the trilogy again now, long after initially playing it when it first came out. There are so many great stories that have been lost to versioning over the years.

Thank you for all the hard work to create amazing worlds for us to experience.

Well, you cannot expect me to fix something when I am not given a save file to inspect and find the bug's cause. I dont really have time to play all of this from start so giving me a save file is faster.
