Maybe ambiguous is not the good word. I mean your main guy (and others too) show no doubts or contradictions. But I think those makes interesting characters.

Wow, that's a pretty good storyline, but frankly, it would completely destroy the one I have planned.

I will try to change the main characters to have "Doubts and contradictions". I now realize they need it.
Wait, I just came up with this idea I think is awesome...

Okey-dokey! Version 0.7.0 is now out!

It comes with a new scenario, with a cool plot twist, and I made the open storyline for "The Elves" Better.

This is really depressing. Three post in a row, and I still have no feedback. You're so mean.

Oh yeah, and version 0.7.1 is out. The changes: A little bit of story text change for "Assault in the Winter". That's it.

Well. Version 0.8.0 out. I have only a few more scenarios left. I added a new Dialogue-only scenario after "The Elves" that will (I hope) make the story flow better.

rmj told me to in the OLD thread. He also told me to do some other stuff, which I will, once I find time.

Hi

tried the recent version on 1.85, lv hard.
started fine, szenario 2 and 3 are interesting.
but those monsters in 4 just don't make any sense to me. there's absolutely no option for strategy or even tactics to fight them. they surround the camp immediately, most times even killing one or two units and entering. after that you hardly get a chance to recruit more than one unit per turn and die soon. leaving the first six recruited (or recalled) units behind as a retraction and run with the heroes, aiming to manouver the monsters out, is just impossible as well, too many of them would follow at once - and they are faster.
so the only choice is to stay inside, get locked in and hope on lucky dice. that's boring.

Whoa! You made it past the 3rd scenario? WOW!

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. I had pretty much lost interest in this, but now I see some people are actually playing, I think I'll continue my work.

i am happy to say that this add-on version 0.8.0 works with Wesnoth 1.10, with a few warnings like this:
warning unit: Unknown attribute 'generate_traits' discarded.

scenario 6 it was kind of annoying to have my gold cut to 40% again after finishing this dialogue-only scenario - easy come easy go i guess. anyway after it finished i saw this message and it kicked me back to the main screen:
error general: Unknown scenario: '07_Assault_in_the_Winter.cfg' the file exists but looking in the WML i see that the internal name is "Assualt_in_the_Winter" a typo and there is a map name with the same typo.

overall the story is fast paced and there's always something interesting to do. some of the maps are a bit large. i can send a list of dialog typos if you want them. i look forward to continue when next version is uploaded :)

Cool! I'm glad some people are playing this. I'd love a list of typos. I'll try and fix those bugs/other stuff as soon as possible.

Well, I've updated it, and now it (should) be playable. I made it so the ghost appears on scenario 3 with both ways of completing it. I also added a bigger variety of monsters on scenario 4 (Ssssspiders!), and changed the dialogue a little. I also fixed the day/night cycle in scenario 5, fixed the 40% cut in scenario 6, and fixed the missing scenario bug for scenario 7. Hoo. Yeah, 8.1!

great! the new eyes "look" better :P i wonder if eventually they can animate to glance around or follow a unit.
the ghost in the troll scenario appeared only for a fleeting instant so i didnt see it but i did see the leader's exclamation about it.

i played through the whole thing and ran into 2 snags:
- scenario 05 points to 06_Debate but the actual scenario is named 06_The_Debate so it fails to load.
- scenario 10 saves are corrupted so i was unable to retry after defeat (even the start of scenario).

suggested spelling fixes are attached as diffs. two posts because it wont let me attach more than 5 files at once. also internally to 07, "Assault" is spelled "Assualt" which may cause confusion and errors at some point.

tr0ll, you are awesome. Really awesome. Thanks for the 'speling' stuff (you spelled spelling wrong in the comments for the files). The dialogue looks a lot better now. Also, The Brotherhood of Wesnoth version 0.9.1 is out now! Just one step closer to version 1.0! This update includes a dialogue clean-up and shadows added to the floating eyes! Hope you like it!
