Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I dont sugest that Ice dragon legacy should be stronger, but like with Fire dragon legacy, it should add aditional attack with cone ability, so you could use it even when you fight just one enemy.
About Warlock´s flame sword... I find it quite weird, that some attack can be used in retalion, some not. I do prefer if they are useable (more possibilities for development of your units), so in my opinion, I would make it possible...
So if I understand Belzebub corectly...
10scenarios=100*10% of rounds=1000%
If I win scenario (60rounds of 100rounds)=I get +60%

Okay, made its last advancement analogous to the fire one.Delicius169 wrote:like with Fire dragon legacy, it should add aditional attack with cone ability, so you could use it even when you fight just one enemy.
Done.Delicius169 wrote:I find it quite weird, that some attack can be used in retalion, some not. I do prefer if they are useable (more possibilities for development of your units), so in my opinion, I would make it possible...
No. There is no 100 multiplier anywhere.Delicius169 wrote:10scenarios=100*10% of rounds=1000%
If you save 60 rounds out of 100, you get 60% Beelzebub score. Yes. You need 500% Beelzebub score to spawn him.Delicius169 wrote:If I win scenario (60rounds of 100rounds)=I get +60%

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Hey Dugi, I'm sure you're happily working on further stories and chapters *wink wink*. So I was thinking since everyone loves a bit of rebellious demons, you could chuck in a back story prequel chapter so it would make it worth having all these new advancements *wink wink*. Hehe.
Also:
1. Ring of iced veins, cold sword stop the sucking 1 health gained from armour upgrade. Not sure if intended.
2. The sword on chaos rider won't add any sucking 1 health from armour upgrade.
3. Lethargy is not working on the mace weapon (forgot name) which has 8 damage increase, lethargy and mayhem.
4. Dragon and Abomination don't have bite upgrades which would be pretty cool, although I remember you said it is fairer that way somewhere. The latter unit also cannot use necromancy to change into lich with Tome of Liches.
5. I think flies are a bit too much in the levels they occur in chapter 9.
6. Still offering to help out with the English scripts for the entire campaign; saw a few errors. Plus could use a little more vocabulary and finesse, not that is isn't already awesome. But you know, little bit. Little bit.
7. Those vampires from Chapter 4 could be fun to have in Chapter4 and 5. Plus those machine-human hybrids could be fun in Part II of the campaign, whatever happened to them after defeating Akula. Maybe a story there, maybe. Ya know A group survive, rebuild the empire. Alien invaders, gods with supernatural powers. Try to rule all the worlds. A story there for sure I reckon
8. Or even better, both of the heroes time travel to the start of wesnoth and create the empire. Or perhaps they travel to a parallel universe where they have both evil doppelgangers that are complete opposites of the heroes and you have to stop them! Definitely a lot of chapter there. Dammit I wish I knew how to do all this stuff haha!
Cheers.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
A few things I noticed that could be improved
1. Corrupted drake warriors are objectively weaker than corrupted drake fighters
2. in the library in chapter 6, one of the bookcases says something like "a phoenix can do 21-7 fire damage with its breath" This seems unnecessary and sorta takes you out of the experience.

Could you elaborate on this please? I must be doing something wrong because this doesn't work for me. A quick step-by-step would be nice.Dugi wrote:@Lordlewis
The problem with inventory items inaccessible until there's 20 of them is fixed on github. Also a problem with missing weapon specials.
The lua bug is a bug in Wesnoth, the AI in 1.13 is a specialist AI from the game.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I am working on something related, but it's taking way longer than I expected, partially because of other unrelated things I have to work on. But if everything goes as planned (read: I will be programming faster, I won't change the plan), there will be a story taking place somewhere between chapters four and five. But it might take very long.DuckyWucky2 wrote:I'm sure you're happily working on further stories and chapters *wink wink*.
Health suck does not work if the damage isn't blade, impact or pierce. That is intentional.DuckyWucky2 wrote:Ring of iced veins, cold sword stop the sucking 1 health gained from armour upgrade. Not sure if intended.
Their AMLA is deliberately far stronger to compensate for it. What did you expect they would use to increase the bite damage, iron teeth?DuckyWucky2 wrote:Dragon and Abomination don't have bite upgrades which would be pretty cool, although I remember you said it is fairer that way somewhere.
That ability does not work on undead, there is only one revival, from living into undead.DuckyWucky2 wrote:The latter unit also cannot use necromancy to change into lich with Tome of Liches.
Does anyone else agree with this?DuckyWucky2 wrote:I think flies are a bit too much in the levels they occur in chapter 9.
This campaign is on github where its code is shown. It has a feature called 'fork' that allows you to create a clone that you can edit at will. You can also ask me to merge the your changes into the main code. That means that you are free to edit this campaign (although I decide if the changes get on the server, it's unlikely I would reject a language correction).DuckyWucky2 wrote:Still offering to help out with the English scripts for the entire campaign; saw a few errors. Part II is supposed to take place 10000 years after the first one, so few things remain from those times. People have descended into barbarity, amassed knowledge was lost, empires have risen and fallen...DuckyWucky2 wrote:Those vampires from Chapter 4 could be fun to have in Chapter4 and 5. Although I was thinking about adding a few things pertaining to Stormrider's background and mentioning Argan's vampires could be useful.

You are free to do it. I also didn't know how to do anything back then seven years ago when I started writing LotI. Damn, it's so long ago.Or even better, both of the heroes time travel to the start of wesnoth and create the empire. Fixed. Their damage is now 22-3.King of Sloths wrote: Corrupted drake warriors are objectively weaker than corrupted drake fighters

If you download the github version (from github), the inventory will work properly. Currently, the items will be there only if there's at least 20 of them in inventory.Could you elaborate on this please? I must be doing something wrong because this doesn't work for me. A quick step-by-step would be nice.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I do think that the flies in chapter 9 are too muxg. It's a little annoying that you have to avoid killing many demons to prevent spawning flies while you could get items and many experiences from them.
So, yes, I agreed with DuckyWucky2

No worries, take your time man. We'll be repeating these chapters for a long time to come with different combos, techniques, armies. So much fun!Dugi wrote:I am working on something related, but it's taking way longer than I expected, partially because of other unrelated things I have to work on. I dunno haha, maybe some "tremor" or "scream" ability that slows, dazzles or decreases damage?Dugi wrote:Their AMLA is deliberately far stronger to compensate for it. What did you expect they would use to increase the bite damage, iron teeth?

That makes sense! Guess I'll just use the exterminatrix to get 6 weapons to a lich king lol.Dugi wrote:That ability does not work on undead, there is only one revival, from living into undead.

That's why we spent 4 chapters redeeming stuff into our lovely soul redeeming preserved lich heads. I know right! Damn I remember having feeding on preserved liches in Chapter 5. 1000HP units, funny glitches, no part 2! Wow doesn't even seem like that long! Man I would love to write something, but then I'd be spoiling the story for myself. Just brainstorming!Dugi wrote:You are free to do it. Sounds too contrived.DuckyWucky2 wrote:I dunno haha, maybe some "tremor" or "scream" ability that slows, dazzles or decreases damage?
That's nothing new, actually.DuckyWucky2 wrote:Guess I'll just use the exterminatrix to get 6 weapons to a lich king lol.
I don't know. The map looks slightly different every time you enter it. And it's a labyrinth I created by hand with the intent to make it as unintuitive as possible. My recommendation is: don't go there.imaginarypotato wrote:Spoiler:
