You can enter command :next_level or :n while in debug mode to proceed. https://wiki.wesnoth.org/COMMANDMODE
Re: To Lands Unknown 3.1.3
You seem to be using MENU_IMG_TEXT which was apparently removed in 1.15.2, which might be why TLU doesn't load in 1.15.2.
Re: To Lands Unknown 3.1.3
Well, that's funny, cause I went to load the campaign in 1.15.2, and this happened: I'm on Catalina (Mac OS 10.15.2)inferno8 wrote: ↑September 14th, 2019, 10:35 am To Lands Unknown is now available for the Battle for Wesnoth 1.15.1.
Please note that 1.15.1 is the development version of Wesnoth, so "it is geared towards veteran players and content creators who wish to try out the latest additions to the game. Updates are not guaranteed to be stable and may include game-breaking changes".
TLU has been ported to 1.15.1 directly from 1.14.x which means it may be unstable/buggy. If you encounter anything unusual, report it please, so all issues can be fixed in time before the final BfW 1.16 stable release is ready.
Re: To Lands Unknown 3.1.3
You should use 1.15.1 or earlier.

Black background in TLU
Hi to everybody,
I've just installed Wesnoth 1.14.11 using flatpak on my Linux Mint 19.3 (based on Ubuntu 18.04) following https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.wesnoth.Wesnoth. I opened the add-on panel to install the "To Lands Unknown" campaign and everything went fine, since it installed the other dependencies and I was able to start the campaign.
But after the initial cutscenes, the scene displayed is missing all the main graphics, i.e. the background is black and the terrain is made of standard hexes as if resources could not be loaded, here is the screenshot:
I also took a look at the console log, some resources are clearly missing, but I don't know why...
Does anyone know why this happens? It's a clean flatpak install of the stable version, I don't think I have messed up something...
Many thanks in advance,
Have a nice day

I have the exact same issue and it has appeared in other campaigns too (such as Genesis and invasion from the unknown). I have the same version and OS as you (although I'm using the steam wesnoth). Playing replays wont fix the issue but downgrading into 1.12 DOES fix the problem.guidobartoli80 wrote: ↑April 2nd, 2020, 1:58 pm Hi to everybody,

I believe its a weasnoth issue though, it has nothing to do with the campaigns (I could be wrong though, i'm not an expert on these things). I cannot confirm if this happens in 1.15 yet, but I have not run into it so far.

Additionally, if you are using Steam it also means that it's not a flatpak issue.
With development version 1.15.3 the situation is even worse because it cannot even be started:

Additionally, if you are using Steam it also means that it's not a flatpak issue.
From the output you showed the issue is that SDL_image is not built with JPEG support, something needed for wesnoth in general since the main game comes with some JPEG images as well. (Notably the main menu background for example.)
Since you both have the issue with flatpak and steam I assume SDL_image comes from your OS install (even though that does not make sense for flatpak). Perhaps you can see if you can install a different SDL_image variant there. Or maybe you have custom SDL installs that are being picked up for some reason?

I did not install additional packages other than flatpak to run Wesnoth, but maybe you say that I however need SDL2 library? What package can I try with "sudo apt install"?Soliton wrote: ↑April 2nd, 2020, 3:42 pm From the output you showed the issue is that SDL_image is not built with JPEG support, something needed for wesnoth in general since the main game comes with some JPEG images as well. Re: To Lands Unknown 3.1.3
I compiled my own 1.14 based on viewtopic.php?p=617430#p617430 dependencies (and TLU works for me). So I would suggest to first try getting sdl related ones there.

I also tried to manually install SDL2-image with but the problem with the campaign graphics still exists.
Code: Select all
sudo apt install libsdl2-image-2.0-0

Re: To Lands Unknown 3.1.3
Failing for that reason on 1.15 is not unexpected, since that macro was removed from mainline Wesnoth.
For 1.14, I also use Mint 19.3, and I'm not seeing that issue, either using the version on Steam or one I compiled myself. Flatpak is giving me 503 errors at the moment, but I'll see if I can test it as well later.

Ok, I will try TLU add-on with the Steam version too and I will report here.
Flatpak gave me zero issues on Linux Mint 19.3, I followed the steps I reported in the previous post.

Re: To Lands Unknown 3.1.3
Wooooo, TLU works fine with Steam version, many thanks for the suggestion!!
[/url]
So, apparently the flatpak version has some problems with this add-on on my PC, I hope my report can be of any help for developers to solve them.
Thanks,
Cheers
