the level is supposed to be purely blockade running. Allowing you to recruit would allow you to win very easily. For example, even petits can surround enemy units long enough for the Unforgiver to slip by. Besides, you do not command the entire fleeet at the time, you just command the Unforgiver and its two escorts.

How could you justify that in the storyline? Perhaps the gold is spread out among the fleet? But, there are mermen villages in the level, and I want to keep them so they break the monotony of water.

Here's revision 17. I have removed the swamp and made it possible to charge down the east and have a better chance of winning. However, it still depends a lot on how you use your escorts. Also remember that the Unforgiver can reach 3 hexes, meaning you can fire when running away.

I know I shouldn't triple-post, but continuing the discussion from Ideas...
Do the drakes even have a homeland? And besides, with your expert knowledge of Wesnothian geography, where would it be? Perhaps the Isle of Storms could be a new homeland, and the final missions would be to placate it? I could do that without any major scenario changes, just change scenarios 15, 16 and 17.

I think you might need to change Isle of Storms, though.

TROW, 'Peoples in Decline' has a sinking volcanic island. The heroes speculate on what will become of the 'Drakes' when the island becomes too small. TROW takes place at the very beginning of the timeline, so it gives the 'Drakes' plenty of time to get to their 'current' homeland. I also never specify that this is the only place where 'Drakes' are found. . . I didn't want to limit anybody else.

I need names. What I am thinking for the storyline is having the drakes snatched from their homeland, and the drakes have to fight their way towards it.

I'm nearly pathological about not naming. . . It is simply 'volcanic island' or 'island', it wasn't used as anything more than a re-provisioning point. If you want to call it something have at it. It was a spec in the Ocean to the West of 'Wesnoth'.
