[Complete] BWI - Brutal Wesnoth International - Prize Tournament

Post by neki »

This is the first large scale Battle for Wesnoth Tournament with prizes!

The registration is absolutely free and open to everybody!

The prize pool is 470 EUROS!

The website of the tournament, where you can register and find information about the map pool and format is:

http://www.brutalwesnoth.com

Could a moderator or a developer make this thread sticky, please ? It would be a kind and much appreciated gesture that will support the great efforts that the organizers are making for this tournament.

Cheers!

I support this tournament and competitive Wesnoth in general!

Seems like a step in a good direction, as it already has a somewhat of a 'pro scene' you could call it.
Good luck Neki.

Keep your wesnoth brutal.

Tournaments are for making the Wesnoth scene bigger and closer to each other that i think the interest of the developers too, its just a bonus that neki managed to get some prizes aswell!

The competitive community (ladder and tournament players) have proven themselves to be very often the friendliest and most sportsmanlike in the world of Wesnoth.
A tournament such as this will help popularize the game and expand its player/fan base, which is good for everybody.

I support this tournament and competitive Wesnoth in general!

I subscribed the tournament, i think this is a great idea which can help Wesnoth community to continue growing! I think that the ladder community has done a great effort to create a big pool of motivated players, which plays so many games and this fact alone (obviously there's more!) can help A LOT in balancing maps & factions.
So... it will be good to make this post more visible.

I support... wait that makes me feel stupid to repeat the exact same phrase as all others did.
I support brutal wesnoth and especially the random map picker dedicated to the tournament.

Also the reward seems reasonable, and it is well organised (in my opinion).

No need to feel stupid, Winderly! We are all people sharing the same idea and now it's the time to say something about it and stick together when it comes to this idea!

What the frak is up with everyone repeating that *exact same line*? An army of androids? :lol2:
I will not tell you my corner / where threads don't get locked because of mostly no reason /
because I don't want your hostile disease / to spread all over the world.
I prefer that corner to remain hidden /
without your noses.

if you support the tournament, you'll give the wesnoth a chanse to be something bigger than it is now. as a game, as an entertainment and as a sport :)
