Difficulty changed in middle of campaign

I was playing "Legend of Wesmere" campaign. I have chosen to play at novice level. So, a few scenarios at the beginning were pretty easy (sometimes annoyingly easy, but as I'm not pro at it and wanted to play that way, it suited me well). Then, things got complicated as they should. But... Yesterday I was playing scenario "Human Alliance" and number of enemies was ridiculous for a novice level. So I looked at number of turns left to survive. And I have seen that I am at 7/18. If you check at http://wiki.wesnoth.org/LegendofWesmere#Human_Alliance you'll see that
Turns: 14/16/18 (easy/medium/hard)
:)
How things could be changed in the middle of campaign? Seem to me like it is a bug in the game. Or...

I suspect that the author of that wiki page has made a mistake about turn limit (I think Lotsofphil me is the one to blame :P ). He wrote:
14/16/18 (easy/medium/hard)
While in fact the easier difficulty must have a higher turn limit.
So you still playing the with the Novice difficulty.

While in fact the easier difficulty must have a higher turn limit.
Not for survival scenarios.

Then, it looks like you've just encounter a bug, maybe you should report it.

No, it seems to be a bug in the Wiki. The .cfg file for Human Alliance uses (at least in current trunk) 18 / 20 / 22 as turn limits.
The wiki is going to be corrected just in a few seconds. :P

Thanks. I'm really having tough time with this one, even if it is novice.

Difficulties can be changed mid-campaign by hacking a savefile. Open it in a text editor and change, for instance, all occurances of "HARD" to "NORMAL". (It must match the values of the difficulties= key in the campaign's _main.cfg).
One should do this with a start-of-scenario-save.
