how do i edit units from addons?

I am makin a era and need to know how to edit units from other addons?

I am a noob at makin stuff on wesnoth i made my acount today.

Plese help!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to create a ton way before i made my acount but it didn't make sense.

My progress on creating it is pretty good except for: Mermen, Wood Elves, High Elves, Night Elves, and Trolls.

Wesnoth utilize the .CFG file format to store information such as data on units and maps. To find these, go into your wesnoth folder and go into the following folder structures "data" -> "core" -> "units". Once there, you will find all the units in mainline and can edit any of them using just notepad or wordpad.

He just answered your question. Go to the folder(s) where the add-ons are. Then, proceed to mess/edit around with their units' CFG files however you want.

Without more information we can't help you.

Such information may include but is not limited to: your operating system and whether or not you told the installer to put userdata files in the installation directory.

Immediatly stop giving information and consult your doctor if you experience an answer lasting longer than 4 paragraphs.

For windows it is either in
Documents/My Games/Wesnoth 1.6/Userdata/Data/Campaigns/
or
Program Files/Battle For Wesnoth/Userdata/Data/Campaigns/

If you still can't find it, simply search "wesnoth" on your hard drive. This will no doubt bring up any wesnoth related files and probably the main folder itself, so there is no way this could go wrong, unless your operating system doesn't have a search function?

It would be really great if the original poster took the time to read anything in that section, though. Also, the Posting Guidelines, and every subforum's rules and stickified/annnouncement threads.
