This is very true, but the attack is just called ink. ;) Maybe it just tries to blind you with it.

If it gets in your eyes. That would do some sufficient damage. :hmm:
Thank you President Bush

If it blinds you, why isn't it a slows attack then? :P
This is the problem with trying to make sense of Wesnoth, the gameplay and the gameworld disagree on many occasions.

My belief on cuttlefish ink is it's a kind of acid :)

Fits in the game world quite nicely, true, but in real life, it's delicious.

Exactly how I imagined it. This should be used as story art.

Trying to combine game balance and game story is hard enough, if you add real life to it we're never going to get anywhere :P

I am quite positive it will bring you to the psychiatric hospital.

Anyway, I would not mind having the claws of a gryphon, with the gryphon attached to it of course

If I were a Dwarvish Gryphon Rider, I'd teach my Gryph to overcome it's fear of loud explosive noises and wield a Thunderstick(or Dragonstaff) from the back of the aerial mount.
Those poor Orcish Warriors on the ground would be powerless to do anything against me as I bombard them from above. And those pesky Hurricane Drakes would learn to fear the true master of the skies.

Yes, but have you seen the accuracy of that thing from the ground? You'd have reverse-marksman and always have a 30% or 40% chance to hit when flying.

Two words: Dive bombing. The only problems you have to worry about then are those audacious half-Goblins trying to throw knives and burning arrows at you.

Or just take a trip to your nearest neighborhood Runemaster and get the thing enchanted with the Magical ability.

And those Drakes make such bigass targets that shooting them will never be much of a problem.

If I was riding a Gryphon I would prefer like 15-3 lightbeams.

All I need to do is point at the target and my shining holy homing laser beam would smash them flat.
Mage of Light riding a Gryphon...hmm, you start to think of other hybrids and then your brain shuts down.
