New MacOSX Version

Post by Dave »

In order to test an attempted fix to the infamous 'white hp bar at night' bug, Sithrandel has compiled a new OSX version.

It is available at http://www.wesnoth.org/files/Wesnoth_Ma ... .99cvs.dmg

Reports of whether this bug has been fixed will be appreciated!

For me, the enemies' hp bar changes color now but it is still always the same height. My own units' hp bar remains white and is always full.

on MacOS X 10.2; maybe others will have a different experience

I just test on Mac OS X 10.3 and it works fine :-). HP bar at night is correct.

I tried only in multiplayer game but there is no reason thaht things will be different in solo.

The hp bars aren't supposed to change height, just color.

You fixed it dave, but only partially. When night comes, all the hp bars are white, until I move the unit. Once the unit has been moves they change to the appropriate color. But on the next turn they turn back to white again. So there is some problem with updating the color at the beginning of each turn.

well, it works perfect for me, no problem at all, and the bars were right all the time, even when fighting, but i haven't tested on multiplayer

running under a 10.3, it seems older versions have problems :?:

I can't download the newest version...It comes as a truncated file of only 7.3 Mb instead of the usual 16.5 Mb.

They are supposed to empty as the unit is injured.

Works fine for me with OS X 10.3, everything else up to date too.

(Don't forget to post your OS versions, esp. if things aren't working for you.)

OK, on second try, it looks okay when I started a new campaign.

My previous comments were about my experience with a savegame loaded from 0.6.99.2. But that should not make a difference.

So, to clarify:MacOS X 10.2 is ok.

Works great for me with 10.3.2.

Again: the hp bar is inconsistent. At night, it works most of the time, but will revert to the white bar once in a while. This can occur within the same game.

There does not seem to be a pattern.
