Hi,
Would it be possible when a new version is released to have the new strings to translate in a separate file, or at least in the beginning of the sample translation with separator between every adding.
Indeed, it really painfull to retrieve in the sample_translation.cfg the new strings to translate and to check with the already translated file
It was simple at the beginning, but as more and more strings have to be translated, it become more difficult to find the new ones.
Regards.

There is a utility called merge_translations that comes with the program. Build it by going,
make merge_translations
(actually with 0.4.7 I have just noticed a bug in the Makefile that may cause this not to build. You'll have to add in ${SDL_LIBS} with the linker options. Will be fixed in the next version).
then you can run this utility using, for instance,
What this will do is create a new French translation file, which contains already-translated strings in French, and the not-yet-translated strings still in English, at the top of the file. Comments clearly tell you which strings are which.
There is also a utility called make_translation which ships, which can be used to generate the sample_translation.cfg file, however this file is also shipped with the distribution, so you shouldn't need to use make_translation.
Hope that helps!
