AI attack bug

Post by skovbaer »

wesnoth: ai_attack.cpp:48: void ::do_analysis(const gamemap&, const ai::location&, const std::multimap, std::allocator > >&, const std::multimap, std::allocator > >&, const ai::location*, bool*, std::vector >&, std::map, std::allocator > >&, std::vector >&, const game_data&, const gamestatus&, ai::attack_analysis&): Assertion `cur_analysis.movements.size() < 6' failed.

This error occurs sometimes during the AI movement...
I'm running Wesnoth 0.4 on this machine:

Athlon T-bird 1200 MHz
Asus ALiMAGIK A7A266 motherboard
512 MB DDR
GeForce 3 Ti 200

My distro is Slackware-Current (development)...

Btw. this is the best Linux game I've played in a long time, although I have a lot of trouble dealing with the third scenario... U ever played Fantasy General?...

Okay, simple fix: remove the assertion, it's unnecessary.

Thanks for the bug report. Nope I've never played Fantasy General. I had a Genesis when I was a kid, while it seems everyone else had a SNES :-)

The two best games of this genre I played that inspired this game were Warsong and Master of Monsters.

David

EDIT: Oh and yes the third scenario is fairly hard. Look at the Strategy & Tips section for a post on how to deal with it. It's under consideration to be made easier.

Fantasy General is one of the best games ever made. Checkout lgeneral from lgames.sf.net also.

Yeah, it's a masterpiece indeed...
I haven't checked out LGeneral yet, but I just downloaded it...
Just the picture made me realize, that I would waste too much time on this one, too... Just like with Wesnoth... :)
