It is a bit of a problem, sure.
Although a scenario can branch, the next scenario is known at the time the gold report is displayed, so perhaps the full calculation could be shown there somehow. There's not many opportunities to show the minimum/carryover difference in the next scenario itself; mainly it could somehow be shoehorned into the objectives dialog, or detailed in the top bar's gold counter's tooltip (but would anyone ever think to check it?).
