But when I download small campaing - everything is fine.

Any suggestions?

Check your route to (traceroute or similar tool). There might be a faulty host somewhere that rejects your connections once in a while.

What connection do you have? What is your ping to the campaigns server?

For comparison, I must do with a measly (not even) 56 kbps and a ping in the range of several hundreds, yet I've got no problems downloading the campaigns which have over 1 MB.

I don't think there is some problem with trace to campaings host.

I can download 100-300 Kb, and after that connection brokes. :(

I have leased line 512Kb.

Ping to
PING ( 56 data bytes
64 bytes from icmp_seq=0 ttl=53 time=869.453 ms
64 bytes from icmp_seq=1 ttl=53 time=870.896 ms
64 bytes from icmp_seq=2 ttl=53 time=876.526 ms
64 bytes from icmp_seq=3 ttl=53 time=870.549 ms
64 bytes from icmp_seq=4 ttl=53 time=866.251 ms
64 bytes from icmp_seq=5 ttl=53 time=867.240 ms

Big reply time is because of connection between and

My average ping time for the campaign server is 115 ms.

By comparison my avg ping time for is 16 ms.

I think it's a combination of server latency and your connection. Can you get access to a high-speed connection somewhere so you can see if that helps things?

I just downloaded both campaings over 1 Mb.
Can't explain what happened, may be ISP changed route.

Anyhow, thanks all.

As I am hosting and

* both run on same system, behind same bandwidth
* download 120 KB/s, upload 20 KB/s
* campaign downloads and uploads eat bandwidth
* multiplayer games eat bandwidth
* my personal use eats bandwidth (upgrading systems, browsing web, fetching latest KNOPPIX cd, etc)
