My computer shuts down the game suddenly

Hi Mods, I use a Mac OSX computer and the version 1.8.6 of Wesnoth to play. but when i try to either play a game or simply watch one, it shuts down on me. I'm sorry if this isn't very clear with the type of operating system i use, can you try to fix it please? It would me a lot to me. Thank you!

What Mac OS X system are you using? If its 10.5.x then the game will not even start. Version 1.8.6 is totally unplayable in Mac OS 10.5.x for mysterious or unknown reasons, so I recommend you to download version 1.8.5 or 1.9.8.

It also won't work if you are running Lion and normally use full screen for Wesnoth…
