Where are the SAVED files located on hard drive?

Hi, I need to reformat and would like to back-up my saved files so I don't have to start from the beginning again.

I'm running Wesnoth version 1.8.4 on Windows XP

I have heard that there are actually TWO locations that Wesnoth saves these to?

According to this, they should be in the saves\ directory in "MyDocuments\My Games\Wesnoth1.8".

Yes, I went to "MyDocuments\My Games", but "Wesnoth1.8" was not listed there. Even though my version is after 1.8, it seems it's still stored at "Program Files\Wesnoth\userdata". Is this unusual?

You got to choose in which location in your computer Wesnoth saves its user data when you installed the game. One's located in the MyDocuments\My Games and the other in the same location where you installed the game.

I'm on same OS and install-option as you, and mine is in Program Files/Wesnoth 1.8.4/userdata/.
