alright.... Two things

1: what's the normal add on server (my Computer lost it)

2: what are the altrenate Servers besides the Default??

I moved this to technical support because it doesn't have anything to do with the website. The address of the add-ons server is
addons.wesnoth.org

And the alternate MP servers are:
server2.wesnoth.org (gonzo.dicp.de)
server3.wesnoth.org (basilic.tuxfamily.net)
Port 15000 for 1.8.x.

Those aren't (strictly speaking) alternate servers. In fact, just wesnoth.org will work in practice. However...

That sounds like you may be having problems with a firewall obstructing wesnoth's outgoing access to the add-on server's ports. What system are you using? You may need to add an exception for Wesnoth to allow it to create outgoing connections to the ports listed in the post that norbert linked.

Then it's not a firewall issue.

At the time I too had problems connecting to the add-ons server, so it was most likely a temporary problem with the server itself. Things went back to normal some time later.

I forgot to mention that this is extremely frequent, for some reason, and it can be down for any length of time until someone gets to reboot the machine. We're still investigating the cause for our server to go down at unexpected times without our involvement — and do not worry, external factors are already ruled out.

I didn't mean that it isn't working right now. If you can access the forums, then the add-ons server is also working and online.
