Mac Wesnoth image failed to mount
I've tried downloading Wesnoth three times now on my Mac Powerbook G4 and every time I get this message when I double click on the icon that appears on my desktop -
"The following disk images failed to mount
Wesnoth_1.6a.dm corrupt image"
I last dowloaded version 1.4 i think, and that worked fine when I last played about 6 months ago.
I'm a total technical cripple so any help would be gratefully received.

As suggestion, try re-downloading. However, make sure that you use a download manager (even using the built-in one in Opera should be adequate), as it seems that whatever program you're using stopped the download while it is not finished (usually due to a slow connection).
Take a breath.

Re: Mac Wesnoth image failed to mount
You're not using Mac OS 10.3 or earlier, are you? If so, Wesnoth doesn't work earlier than 10.4, and the image won't mount either. If you get info on the disk image in the Finder, it should be exactly: 227,267,455 bytes. If it's less, then it's an incomplete download.

Re: Mac Wesnoth image failed to mount
Yeah, sorry about that. 10.3 requires building with gcc 3.3 (instead of 3.4) I think, and I'm pretty sure Wesnoth doesn't work in 3.3 anymore (plus, it's really hard to use gcc 3.3 now anyway).
