ps, the server is always up unless a malfunction.

In the future, here's a novel idea. Try to log in yourself, you will find that the server is in fact working.
Given the relative rarity of malfunctions, having a sticky devoted to the fact would serve no purpose. Mainly because people will post threads in User's Forum, Technical Support, Off-Topic, and Website anyways about things being down.

When the server is down for real it is either for a very short time (less than 15 minutes), or the entire website is down for days.
It is more likely that you cannot connect to the server due to firewall issues at your end. Try again and search this forum for the countless occurrences of this case.
