Westnoth no longer fires up after change to 1440 x 900 res

After solving the 1440x900 screen resolution problem on my computer, Westnoth (1.4 on Hardy Heron) no longer starts up - a brief flash of black screen then nothing more. Cannot get into the game to access resolution settings. Re-installing the game does not make any difference. Anybody have any ideas? Tx

Easy workaround:
wesnoth --windowed

To change resolution:
open ~/.wesnoth/preferences
there are 'xresolution' and 'yresolution' keys in there that you can mess around with

Try find your wesnoth preferences file and delete it. It should revert to normal resolution.

You could also use the -r or --resolution command line parameter:

-r, --resolution XxY sets the screen resolution. Example: -r 800x600
