1.1.4, HttT Plunging into the Darkness

Post by Ailurus »

I get an error message when I try to start the HttT scenario Plunging into Darkness (WinXP).

It says assertion failed!
Program C:\program files\Wesnoth\Wesnoth.exe
File C:\Entwicklung\Wesnoth\wesnoth-1.1.4...\unit_map.cpp
line 55
Expression: res.second

This error comes up twice in a row. I can ignore both, and the scenario seems to work fine, except Kalenz and Delfador never show up (thus messing with the dialog at the end). When the scenario is completed, Lost General starts up (and I presume, runs) without any errors or problems, but again Kalenz and Delfador are gone. I presume that this will continue for the remainder of the campaign, not causing any problems except some strange dialog.

I reported this as a bug, and it's now marked as fixed. (It seems that the developers noticed the problem before I did.) Unfortunately, you may have to wait for the next release or use the SVN version, since it isn't fixable by modifying the WML code in the scenario.

This assertion failure is also happening during the "A Subterranean Struggle" scenario in the Under the Burning Suns campaign while running 1.1.5. Is this an old problem or one I need to elaborate more on?
(By the way had same problem in HttT, 1.1.4, and it's now fixed. Thanks!)
