A Poem

Post by Zerovirus »

Once there was this boy;
On MP he always played Loys.
But undead at night
Gave him such a fright
That he was utterly destroyed.

poor guy :(
Nice poem though. Mind you, I'm not a big fan of undead myself.

One day two horseman rode,
To fight a Necromancer:
The First Became a Walking Corpse,
The Second one a Lancer.
...please remember that "IT'S" ALWAYS MEANS "IT IS" and "ITS" IS WHAT YOU USE TO INDICATE POSSESSION BY "IT".--scott

this goes for they're/their/there as well

one I thought up in about 10 seconds.

Konrad went to claim the throne and get the scepter of fire,
but Lis'ar got the throne instead cus Delfie' was a liar.

There once was a spearman named Tent,
who was teased without any repent,
Then one day with his spear,
he struck a general in the rear,
and off to the gallows he was sent.

Right here we have the forums
Over there the flamers and trolls
O hear ye the chanted warcries
As across the internet rolls

A mighty wave of delinquents
D. California at their head
But I'll even bet my last two cents
They'll all end up quite dead

Smashed by the mighty banhammer
Their every post deleted
Banned from all the servers
This affair shall never be repeated

Ug. Bad prose. Really bad. :P

@ artisticdude: that's sad! The poor flamers and trolls, those people work bloody hard on being that irritating and offensive and nobody sticks up for them, then you have to make it seem glorious that they, with no rights whatsoever, are thrashed by moderators with near godlike powers... :)

Nonetheless.
I'm jumping on the favorite units turning into walking corpses bandwagon.
Lord Thunderbeard is based on a ture story, I'm sorry to say, only the Dwarf in question was named Augusthil or something, I think it had the same metric value as Thunderbeard, not that it matters since this is a rubbish poem, you can substitute most Dwarvish names into the poem.

Lord Thunderbeard

Oh have you seen Lord Thunderbeard
With axe agleam and helm of grey
He wanders through the lonely hills
to fight and keep our foes at bay

Oh have you seen my Dwarvish Lord
Brave in battle with the foe
He stood against the Orcish horde
and with his axe he layed them low

When last I saw this lord of stone
The fearless walking dead he sought
And though he faced them all alone
I know how valiantly he fought

Oh yes I've seen your Dwarvish Lord
with beard of green and skin of grey
He wonders still through lonely hills
But never by the light of day.

Oh hey, this looks like a fun topic or at least it certainly puts a smirk on my face. Perhaps I should attempt to live up to part of my name?

Oh woe is thee.
The better player is me.
So I'll do all of your choice picking.
And you'll do naught but my mindless clicking.
Oh hey, look, see we won!
With you now I am done.

I'm rather regretful to report I've been on each side of that equation before. So hard to avoid. >_<

Oh hey, I have a new unit to suggest!
The slowing berserk king's the best!
He'd allow my to win all my games
It'd give me a whole ton of fame
Please note this idea is merely in jest.

And now for the shortest poem ever:

RIP
Lib
Htonsew Rof Elttab Eht is just too cool for school. I've got no words to describe it. Have any of you guys tried it? ;-)

OMG that post was as witty and wry
As this topic's entirety all,
All those poems and schemes of rhyme
Made me friggin' lol.

I think artisticdude's poem is the best. Lots of warning for irresponsible forum members.

Feeling his vision growing blind
After a hitting spree,
The last thought to cross the leader's mind
Was "Screw the RNG!"

A great paladin rode
To the dragon's lair
With sword and lance and mare
But alas! Fire-proof underwear
The pala' greatly lacked
The dragon gave him fourteen-four
And killed him in the act.

Very droll. I don't like the ''pala' '' thing though.
