How many turns should I expect to last in "A New Land"?

How many turns should I expect to last in "A New Land"?
[minor spoilers...]
In The Rise of Wesnoth, there's a scenario named A New Land, where the goal is to survive with no deaths - neither to you nor the enemy - for as many turns as possible.
I'm playing on Medium difficulty, and have a few questions:
1. About what number of turns I could expect potentially survive?
2. Is a "homeostatic state" realistically achievable?
3. How much gold should I aim for? i.e. beyond which it's useless to amass more?
