Some Fun Replays

Post by Beholder »

I like to test myself against improbable odds by fighting 2 or 3 allied AIs at the same time. The AI may not be very bright at times but the power of numbers make up for it.

First is a unlikekly alliance between Orcs and Humans against me has Human

- fighting different factions is always tricky because you can't just spam a winning units (like Adepts when fighting Drakes)

Just for fun... Undead vs Human, bat only. I didn't expect to win but guess I overestimated the AI.

And to close, Elves hold against 2 Dwarves. Surviving the Gryphon attack at the start is the key.

I only want to say 1 thing: you haven't post replays. When I open them the game spoil the message of defeat and ends. So post the one who says -replay or something like that. Otherwise interesting coktails :D

BFW 1.8.0

Replay Tuff_One works just fine. Not sure what your problem is perseo.

Edit: BatCountry works only if you check the show replay box when loading the save, otherwise I experience the same behavior as perseo described.

Actually Tuff-one works propertly, I started checking the other ones (that I found more interesting) and I forget to download this.

To spice things up, now I challenge 3 Undead for some fun in the desert.

Even the computer spam Adepts versus Drakes, proof the AI isn't that foolish after all.

Undead are my favorite punching bag. If my race of choice can deal with Ghosts I can get my economy going and take 3 of them on a swampy map.

I good game with just 8 units lost to 100 of the enemy.

Enjoy

I realy loved the replay of drakes vs undeads even drakes aren't my favourite race (in fact is the race I most dislike). Nice played!

Tell me your favorite race and I can try to work with something.

Wow. How kind. Don't worry about that. My favourite race are loyalist. And what combination and map do you recommend me to challenge myself? I like playing 1 loyalist vs 2 northeners or 1 loyalist vs 1 northener & 1 undead

If you want an easier time, try to get a map with as much plains / snow as possible as Loyalist. If you want a hard time, get lots of Mountains. I personally think playing on a map which doesn't help your faction very frustating because if the enemy put, say, trolls on a mountain, you will be overwhelmed before taking them out.

Also, water maps are good if the other faction doesn't have a water unit itself. So swampy maps are good versus undead, but not against orcs, which have Naga.

Dwarves vs 3 Elves on the desert.

At first I was not sure if this was even possible. If the elves decide to hire many Woses I will just be overwhelmed sooner or later.

Luckly, they choose to build.. other unit, which allowed for some nice evolutions down the road with even 2 Dwarvish Lords and 2 Assassins appearing.

Enjoy.

The undead horde seemed infinite, outnumbering the elves 4 to 1.

Can wood shatter bone? shamanism beats necromancy? nature defeats death?
