looks much better now! :) now the head feels much more natural. the issue was caused by the fact that you put a lvl5 head on a lvl3 sprite.

ok, another bit of feedback: I think the dragon head covers too much of the dwarf head, making it seem like the unit is a drake with a beard :P

I agree, before all you could see was the beard, has this fixed the problem?

Awesome sprites!!! 8)

I'm not entirely against oversize sprites, but after a certain point it does become a bit ridiculous  With mainline, the l3 units aren't more than a few pixels taller, yet they seem so much bigger. I'm not sure exactly why, but it's a really really cool effect.

I guess I think l5 units don't need to be as big as the fire dragon, but if it fits the unit, then it should be; in the fire dragon's case, it's a towering monster, and a sprite only a bit bigger than a l3 wouldn't exactly fit. Yet it takes a level 5 human (at least I think the grand marshall is l5) to match the size of the l2 troll, and even then he's one pixel shorter. So, I guess if it fits the unit, then go for it.

(P.S: A bit of critique for the dragonier: his dragonstick's dragonhead could look a bit more intimidating. I'd offer some suggestions, but my advice would probably mess it up or worse  )

These are really good sprites though; you should do a batch from scratch.
One foot in my mouth, and one in the grave; that's the way I like it, and that's the way it'll stay.

Thank you Vulpine, it is always good to hear positive responses (though i appreciate any type of feedback) :D

As for the Dragonier i don't know what exactly i could do with the dragon stick so if you would like to offer suggestions that would be fine (none of your previous suggestions have messed up anything ;) )

Also hear are somemore of the dwarvish brigade of new units: (i am also working on an level 5 arch gryphon rider but it isn't finished)

ok, some feedback again:
-I think you should recolor the bat, some that it's body/wings have the same color
-arch thane needs to be a bit larger in my opinion
-mammoth rider's reins should tie around the mammoth's neck (currently, they look like loose ropes, and not reins)
-I would be nice if the mammoth had something like a large metal helmet (with some TC)
-as for drogonier's dragonstick: not related to making it intimidating, I suggest recoloring it's dragonhead to a more golden-ish color (the color used for the dragonier's armor) from it's current yellow look.

Funny, my brother and I did the same half a year ago
(it's an actually existing card game, we just made a new design and a few extra cards)

Not very active on the forum anymore, but I still read it, and I also still play Wesnoth and draw a bit.

Nice that looks really good! :D Making card games seems to be a popular thing, Lord-Knightmare showed me another card game (Arcmage) based off of wesnoth also.

With this card game, however, i have focused more on the attack icons rather than portraits or sprites (here are some more examples):

A few colleagues and i tried it on Thursday and it is a enjoyable and quick game. :)

Working with ForestDragon, countless changes to the spelling and text have been made and a bunch of new cards have been added.

Also i have made an overview of all the cards sorted into a big picture. The big picture has lower resolution images of the cards so i recommend using the pdf to print, the reason i made it is to help clarify how many of each card type there is and so on. :D
