Efraim, quite a looker... by the number of views.
Crow_T and – I think it is fair to say – SlyVenom did a nice job on his portraits.
New Delenia is a stunner too... the happy look on her face says it all.
Krux and Vritra have a good appearance as well…
And group pictures as story photos for Affably Evil are a great idea... just for the fun of it.
If not in Dugi's campaigns, your images will surely show up in other AddOns. They are well done!

Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...
Really, really great artwork here. I tried myself in franking portraits but I failed . But I still have a question: Was it intentional that Efraim has three swords?
Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...
Thanks for the compliments, critiques are also welcome.
Elvish_King,
I guess I did give him 3 swords, as I neglected to remove the hilt on his belt.
Do you think I should try and shop that out?

Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...
Yes, I think it would be betete to remove the hilt. Then efraim has only two swords and a sheath.
Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...
How's that? I left the old one up for comparison.
A Demonologist for Legend of the Invincibles, since one had a talking part and no portrait...

Here is something I have been working on, it's not finished, but I need a break from it...
Ancient Lich as a Wizard

He's got two right hands, and his face looks awful clean.SlyVenom wrote: Ancient Lich as a Wizard
Frankensteining portraits seems like a bad idea, but...:

Much better! That one is definitly progress in the right direction. How's that? I left the old one up for comparison.
Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...
It's a right and a left hand
Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...
@ doofus-01: Frankensteining portraits seems like a bad idea, but... SlyVenom shows: it's possible!
What do you mean with the "face looks awful clean"?
Why should it be... dirty? scarry? evil? …
It's not supposed to be a Lich that can do magic, but it's the Ancient Lich-portrait
modified into the portrait for a normal, living human wizard.
The left hand looks like a crippled claw at first glance (just as in the original),
but it is bend outwards. The color of the hands should just match the face, IMO...
And if he held a fireball instead of a herb bag and had a female counterpart,
both could even pass as Great Mages...

A human wizard in stained robes wearing a tattered cloak and head scarf (whatever that thing is called), so I think his face would be dirty as well. It's not supposed to be a Lich that can do magic, but it's the Ancient Lich-portrait

About the hands: it actually is a right hand (try holding something in your left hand and bend it in that way. Not only will you notice that it is very hard to bend your arm that far back, but also that your palm should be facing your body instead of outwards.)
Besides that his staff looks strange where you cut the other arm out.
I like what you did with the ribcage and the shoulder though.
Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...
It's still a left arm, but I may have to adjust it since it's causing so much confusion.
Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...
For me it's clearly a left hand, and I don't understand how one can see a right hand there.

Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...
Not confusing for me either.
@ Jeffers0n: I did try to hold something in my left hand and bend it in that way. It is not hard...
The upper arm is held close to the body - that's why it is not visible in the image.
And with the hand bend outwards, the palm, of course, shows outwards too...
Dirt-repellent, easy-clean traveling clothes were not common in medieval times.
And Wesnoth's humans have clean faces – even after countless bloody battles.
But maybe the magician knows a 'brand new cloak'-spell...

No. Just as an auto mechanic in his grease-stained coverall might be freshly showered and sparkling clean underneath...stained robes … his face would be dirty as well

Re: SlyVenom's Frankenportraits...
Looking at it again I see that it is a left hand, but to me it still looks more like a right hand. I think it is because of where the plume touches the palm it looks like a knuckle to me.
(at least, thats how it looks to me) and from that position it would be quite unpleasant to push your arm that far back.
Actually part of his upper arm is visible, you can see the cloak in the area right under the chestplate. Because of that it looks like he puts his elbow quite far outThe upper arm is held close to the body - that's why it is not visible in the image.

That does make sense. I stand corrected.No. Just as an auto mechanic in his grease-stained coverall might be freshly showered and sparkling clean underneath...
