Re: Ork Dybinkin's art
These look nice, but not really in "wesnoth style". What is the context?

Re: Ork Dybinkin's art
You were right to take a mainline unit as a basis. Be careful though, some sprites are older & sloppier than others. But the Bowman is probably a good one to look at.
You gave him a fur hat, and an axe, that's what I read. If you change the contrast on the axe, so the bright-shiny parts are not a dull grey, it would look better. Also, don't discard the dark outlines - they help "pop" the sprite out from the terrain "in game". Don't use paintbrush, use "pencil" tool, or something similar - you want to place every pixel manually, full opacity - I saw you had some blurry pixels ("alpha"), you want to have full opacity for everything but the shadow, which is 60%. I posted a minimally modified militiaman to show what I mean, I hope it helps.

Re: Ork Dybinkin's art
Many thanks for your sprite and advice. I really helpful to consult with experienced artists.
Now I'm going to do squardman so it seemed to me that it is very light and inappropriate trunk wesnoth style.

Sincerely, Dubinkin .

Re: Ork Dybinkin's art
I'm not an expert but here's some ideas (based mostly on the spearman)Dybinkin wrote:I need to criticism to improve drawing.
-avoid pillow shading
-avoid too "thick" and straight outlines. Use lighter outlines on lighter areas on the same material.
This post should give you good idea how to improve your pixeling.
Also, you have some semi-transparent pixels near the spear head. Those need to be cleaned up.
Re: Ork Dybinkin's art
Thanks for the comment!
However, I do not know how it turned transparent pixels. I did not remove the extra pixels eraser, I did this with the help of cut .
I take your criticism to create new sprites and edit these.
