How about keep both and set each as a variant? Even with uniforms, colors can end up slightly different after wear and tear.

Great ideas :) I'll keep the greenishgreykindatnormaybekhaki for the private and LT and give the grey to the Corpsman.

Here's a look at the sergeant, but somehow, he looks smaller and puny compared to the private:
Suggestions?

I think it's the very flat hat. Maybe make his head a little bigger, and he might look better.

You should make him a bit taller too, so he appears more important.

The 3-d brim one is better, bigger head makes the other one looks tougher at the seemingly cost of some IQ points.

Alright! Now that I am back among the living, you can go and slaughter screaming grunts with that awesome weapon that caused bungie to freak out and nerf the redshirt's aim from 50% to 25%! Snipers!

The pelican is coming along slow, here's some progress I made:

Sniper looks pretty cool. I just can't realise why his right eye looks blue and left eye looks black. That pelican doesn't look very sharp(yet).

Yeh, the peli is gigantic, I've got to go over it pixel by pixel, putting that off. The marine has an eyepatch:

Possibly to display his motion tracker, or maybe a night vision view, I dunno.

It's hard to see the HUD because it is similar value (brightness) to skin color. You may want to add more contrast there.
As for sniper rifle, I don't think the bipod is very needed here - it is not particularly prominent on original model, and scope seems to be enough to sell the idea that it is a sniper rifle.

Hmm... Speaking of selling the sniper, I made a pic with the barrel some what longer, to see if it made it look more sniperish. Which one looks more like a big clumsy killer sniper rifle?
