Well, I'm not sure if this still fits here, but I'm posting frames for leader with gun anyway.
I see now that it isn't exactly fitting in, but what to change?
I know that:
-clothing style doesn't fit
-skin is too light (they're all tanned)
-maybe he should have armor? (those tribals have middle-ages tech, and have lot of metal plates)
-9 frames is way too long for attack anim
What more?
Idea is, that since gun is looted, he can't stand the recoil.I see now that it isn't exactly fitting in, but what to change?

Alright, recolored so it will look more Tribal:
(So, one lev2 will be masked sniper, and other will be this guy...?)
Personally, I thought that hair is stupid, but bcuz it lets me to show belt container on MG better, I'm not complaining.
And, here are the frames in PNG: And, BTW: making some unit tree on project's topic would really help to get the point, what factions are having what units. your gunner look overall great, I like the light given by the flame of the gun !
But I think he should move his legs, otherwise it look to static.

Yea, it needs work...
And he's supposed* to look like inexperienced in gunning (gun is looted from killed soldiers), so he uses long burst, but can't cope with recoil. I think that pushing him backwards (and he stepping back) would solve both problems (it'll be visible that it's recoil, and'll be less static).
* - I've made my own rule of thumb: if you need to defend your works with phrase "it is supposed to be that way" more than once, you screwed something. (Because if you did it right, nobody would whine about it.)

Congratulations on making the first unit with full attack animation ShiNoBoDy it still fits in perfectly and yes I'll get round to adding a unit tree, I'll put you name in the credits as art contributer does that fit you?
Powershot that metal mauler is still fairly obviously a swordsmans head on an iron mauler's body, it has come to my attention that the hardest bit of a new unit tree is the first unit as all the others are based on it so I put this together as a rough base for why I want the pictures to look like I know something's up with his left (our right) arm if someone wants to point out what I'd be grateful but anyway it's a start, when frankensteining I often find after everything's stuck together always do a recoulor and it looks like an entirely new unit.

Because I could use help animating the tribals, also that new guy is looking better but what's with the odd colouring?

What I often do is aswell as frankensteining try giving chnging the base image to have a new feature (or remove one) take the original tribal that was a speaman with a ruffians head pasted on top then i removed the shield and gave him an arm, so to the untrained eye that doesn't look frankensteined, but with your pictures although i aprecciate the effort it is still obviously a heavy infantryman base frame and the head doesn't quite look right, add to that the odd colourings (The blue next to the unchanged black looks odd) and he doesn't look frankensteined but he doesn't look right.
Do you think you could draw a Sniper rifle that would nicely slot into a units hands?
