My first truly unique unit

Post by blueknight1758 »

This is my first real attempt at a unique unit, it is an extremely rough image of a Paladin Leader, I am submitting it here to see if everyone thinks it's a good starting point or not.

Specs: It's a level 1 unit
The 'cat ears' at the top are going to be expanded to like the in-game's paladin's eary helmet.
He's actually holding a white spear across his body.

This is hard to say without knowing how are you going to advance.

If these are the final outlines of the unit:
-don't use pure black (nor white)
-avoid straight horizontal/vertical lines and 90 degree angles (45 degree angles are not so cool either).
-the unit looks kinda small (assuming it's a human)

for this kind of pose you might frankenstein after all - use the pikemans body with a paladins head and train your pixels with fixing up some distinctive details (not just recolours)
Like cats? I've made a whole faction of them to kick ass with!
Don't like cats? I've made a whole faction of them to kick their asses! So everyone's happy :)

I'm not an artist. In fact I'm so bad XD. But I can tell you how I do the units. I put a frankesteined unit (fast-doing) in the bottom layer and then I create another layer andI work with the guide under me. I hope I help you.
