Most iconic IMHO: Drake Enforcer, Royal Guard, Thunderer.

The Spartan ephors:"If."
Subsequently, both Philip and Alexander would avoid Sparta entirely.

Hi all,
So far this is the pre-final list. Let me know what you think.

* Spearman http://units.wesnoth.org/trunk/C/Spearman.html
* Delfador http://units.wesnoth.org/trunk/C/Elder%20Mage.html
* Noble (Haldric) http://units.wesnoth.org/trunk/C/Noble%20Lord.html
* Orchish Assasin http://units.wesnoth.org/trunk/C/Orcish%20Assassin.html
* Elvish Sorcerer http://units.wesnoth.org/trunk/C/Elvish ... eress.html
* Drake Arbiter http://units.wesnoth.org/trunk/C/Drake%20Arbiter.html
* Draug http://units.wesnoth.org/trunk/C/Draug.html

I discarded the Dwarvish Thunderer because you can get plenty of them from Warhammer miniatures http://s14.photobucket.com/albums/a316/ ... ves006.jpg
However, if there is a Dwarf that looks characteristic of Wesnoth I will be glad to add it.

Let me know what you think

What they said. I also think one of the most iconic is Konrad from HttT, but his sprite... leaves something to be desired. :|

I think Delfador was definitely a good choice.

It'd be awesome to have a rigged 3D model of a unit, as it would be a great reference for animation purposes. I ought to try that sometime...

I recommend Blender for that, tried making a simple peasant model myself, but don't have the time to relearn the manual :/
We could actually make wesnoth 2.0(3d) with it
Like cats? I've made a whole faction of them to kick ass with!

You have my attention. What level of detail are we talking about here? :hmm:

It's spelled "definitely", not "definately". "Defiantly" is a different word entirely.

No, Wesnoth 2.0 will be made by us, and it doesn't involve 3d models. :roll:

The specs of this maschine sound to good to be true.
7weeks leadtimes is scary.
No examples are displayed.
No runing costs are mentioned.
Could even be a con artist.

I read some reviews on the Makerbot Thing-o-matic. Apparently users have been reporting problems with the plastic extruder linked to heating issues. Read the review here for more information: http://softsolder.com/2010/12/26/makerb ... tor-abuse/

We have one in our lab. It is not comparable to the commercial ones at any rate. Though it works.
Anyway, the costs in plastic still high, so running costs are not really reduced.

We had, as far as I know, any of the bugs reported, though since the machine is built by the user, so one can not assure that all machines are equal.

Maybe is to early for 3D printing at home...:)

Fire dragon miniature would be cool. I'm surprised no one has thought of it yet.
