I'll fix the head lighting, it all went backwards when I flipped the head.

Actually some dresses were meant for battle(the Romans). Good job. I' do a little re-size and edit to the hero to make it fit the Wesnoth style if it's ok with you.

Ok. I did a quick edit to the elffight.png and it is now ready to go into the era. Concerning The hero. He should be like the fighter only with armor and some extra things.

Are you sure? As far as I know, they always wore tunics under their armor when in combat, and only wore togas or robes when they were off duty living in a city. But perhaps I'm mistaken...

I know the samurai wore robes at least part of the time however, so fighting in robes, or 'a dress' isn't unbelievable, if somewhat impractical.

Well there were always the English knights. Do some googleing and you will see what I mean.

Nah mate, thats a skirt, or kilt, or perhaps a tunic this is a dress.

I did so, but I can't find anything about dress-wearing english knights.

I saw some wearing knee-length tunics, yes, but dresses... not so much.

The highlight on his headband is too bright. Cloth has very dull highlights.

Eh. He still FAT. Please base the hero(now called a warrior) off of the footsoldier and add some armor maybe he should have a chainmail skirt or dress hanging out of his dress.

I'm just gonna say that I agree with artisticdude on the headband highlights, but it's a pretty solid unit at this point, considering.

If you think he looks fat by the lighting on the breastplate, I designed it so it looks like it puffs out a bit. If you mean the legs, that simply because he's wearing trousers, which hang down on the legs as opposed to being strapped to them like plate armor.

I was going for a metallic look on the headband, but I suppose I'll just go his fabric or whatever.

I would rather not base him off the foot soldier, this one (believe it or not) is actually based off the longbowman, and it would mean re-doing the whole sprite.

I'll do the skirt version today.

Actually. I think i would like to try to redraw the fighter line. I've made some changes to the lineup. Oh and the era is now on the add-on server.

EDIT: Your current hero will serve as a placeholder. The fighter will most likely be permanent tho.

didn't read the thread. just looked at the pretty pictures like just about every other man in existence. is the elf going to have a ranged attack?
