Saurian Barbarian/Rebel

Post by Shawer »

Hello everyone, this is my first post and my first avatar :)
I've made a saurian barbarian/rebel, although ive only made one of these barbarians so far, and no attack animations yet, im going to (slowly) try to work through those, im just trying right now to see what people think of it.
I think ive got it now, tell me what you think please :).

(sorry, i just had some problems getting the image up, could someone please tell me how to get the image up, preferably from preview?)
go to the box that says "upload attachment," and "browse" the button off to the side from 'filename.' That let's you search your comp for the image you want to upload. When you've selected it, click "open" and it brings you back to your "post a reply" page, but with the file location where it says "filename." Not simply click add the file, and once it's been added, click the button to submit your post.
...please remember that "IT'S" ALWAYS MEANS "IT IS" and "ITS" IS WHAT YOU USE TO INDICATE POSSESSION BY "IT".--scott

this goes for they're/their/there as well

Since this isn't for mainline, I'm going to move this to the Art Workshop.

The recolours look like they're of reasonable quality, but you'd have to do a lot more to distinguish them, I think, than colour in their heads and put some blood on the spear.

It's still just a recolour. A good one, but nonetheless, a recolour.

To make a noticeably different unit, you'd need at the very least a different pose, preferably different gear too. Think about what you want the unit to be, rather than just fiddling with a current one to see what you can do with it =)

For the Barbarian, the axe is very flat and seems to be parallel to the viewing screen, which only emphasizes that, but it's not bad.

For the wolf rider, you might want to try using more shades besides just black to give the unit some variation and coloring, but up to you. I assume the purple lines/dot stuff spread around is magic....?

Hi again everyone, i haven't really changed anything on the saurian, but there has been an extension or new units being worked other ones for the dark alliance faction before i saw that comment.
So, here they are, developed between me and my friend, and yes those sparks are magic.

Magic sparkles can be drawn separately, it will make animations easier.

I've been busy, My friend has been making the dark alliance ones, so credit for the pictures of the dark alliance ones go to him, i really only came up with the idea's ;)
Anyways, i just got back and i've updated that saurian barbarian picture, so less flat, and i've extended a shadow under the axe.

I'll probaly not post again until i atleast get halfway through another saurian, and thanks for the magic sparkles tip :)

Sorry, accidently loaded an old version, this one only has a small difference, the shadow is a bit wider. Probably cant see as much of a difference, but i thought it would still probably be good for it.
