errors change all the time
Hi all,
I'm working on a campaign, and i already made a very simple and short campaign in the past which works good, but here, with this one i can't lauch the campaign (and sometimes the game). When i fix one error another error come. I don't understand. If someone can help me...
There is only one scenario and one map. I think the main.cfg is the source of the problem. The errors are always speaking about macros, core, abilities, units that i never modified, scenario never found... I never changed these files.. And i reinstalled the game 4 times.

The errors the game points at are not always the true errors. Try looking in your stderr.txt for more info. If the error messages point at core files, you likely gave wrong arguments to some macros, or something like that.

Here there the campaign file. I think that i don't know how to build a correct campaign file (i mean, i don't know use some crucial things..)

For one, you're missing the opening tag for [endlevel]. If that happens to be the only cause of the errors then make sure you figure out how you could have found it yourself based on the error message, because you're inevitably going to make a lot more syntax errors like that in the future.

in your scenario file:
- INTRO_AND_SCENARIO_MUSIC takes two params
- map_data: prefix add-ons with "~" as seen in main.cfg. and you've saved your map without the .map extension. either rename the map or fix map_data.
- [/endlevel] without opening the tag anywhere. add [endlevel]
temporarily remove all files from units folder. when you launch the campaign you should get an "unkown unit type: x". add and fix them one at a time - most unit files are broken (missing closing tags, ...).

...and get a wml editor with syntax highlighting such as notepad++ which will make missing closing tags obvious for your eyes.

-defense anim macro wants to have two images, so replace {DEFENSE_ANIM "units/trolls/shaman-defend.png" {SOUND_LIST:TROLL_HIT} } with {DEFENSE_ANIM "units/trolls/shaman-defend.png" "units/trolls/shaman-defend.png" {SOUND_LIST:TROLL_HIT} }

For future reference, the mistakes that I've seen cause this problem are a missing quotation mark (1.9.3 seems to give a proper error message for this though) and the wrong number of parameters to a macro (I don't recall whether 1.9 still has a problem with this or not). Trying to use a nonexistent macro just causes a feature to be missing (1. or gives a reasonable error message (1.9).
You are a Dark Adept: you dimmerse yourself in the dark arts...potentially with great rewards....

I fixed all my problems. Thank you very much. I'm working on the 6th level of my campaign and it's working good, but suddenly the 3the scenario crush the game (it was'nt the case before).
I can't see the error. Can anyone help me? I downloaded notepad but i can't found the error.

You cannot remove fog like shroud, use the CLEAR_FOG macro (data/core/macros/interface-utils.cfg, line 95-114) creating an hiden fog clearer unit. To remove it, use the UNCLEAR_FOG (line 116-124).

A last question.
I am making an event that... doesn't work.
I want that when the two Yetis (named Grrr and Graa, side3) are dead, a third Yeti (Grouamf), but side 1 this time, appears, and then move to an adjacent location of my leader position (side1).
I tried this, but it doesn't work (but the game don't crash), it's just not happening.

I'm on the 8th level of my troll campaign. I will translate it in english (not by me i'm very bad in english as you cans see) when it's will be done, then i will post it on the wesnoth extension.
