We where just testing new version last night. :wink:
A wonderful Era.

Some tweaks a still needed though: Roc riders for exable a much to stong. (consider them being smart/faster they have 10 moving points and only need 22Exp to level up! And theyre very cheap therefore.)

Another thing was the raging hydra which is nearly on the way to level2(2 or 4 more needed Xp would be bad here) but is reaches level 3 much to easy!

Most Units a really beautiful and original and should be used, thats exactly why those dominant units should be turned down to a fair level of strength!

Hi, I was the one who suggested the magical eye and barbarian berserker. It has been a long time that those two units have no changes. the problem of the magical eye is it will never level up and it is too weak in this era. I guess it is not bad for level 0 but how about making a level 1 version upgrade so there is some hope for this unit (It is a waste of xp if this guy accidentally killed some other units since it will stay at level 0 if leveled up, and this guy do not have ZOC). One idea for level 1 magical eye could be a eye with whirlwind attack (as it looks like a rotating blade) possible special ability could be either no counter attack or overwhelm attack. I have seen overwhelm attack in some other eras, can't remember what era, probably the ability era on the forum or mercenaries era? It is a attack that you will spend all your attack before enemy can retaliate. Another possibility is to make a more powerful single ray attack that is either marksman or magical.
Another variant could be a more fish like eye unit that has high envision in water and have a vortex attack(magical).
Barbarian berserker is a good unit i guess, the lack of ability to level up is not a huge issue, but could be a bonus. I propose 2 versions of upgrade one with higher HP and berserk attack only, thus become a pure berserker, another with lower HP but a more powerful version of level 1. Or if you don't like the pure berserker idea, you can make a version that focus on berserk attack more or a version focus on normal attack more. Or for balancing issues you can upgrade it without much improvement but add some special abilities, such as dauntless or some other ability. (One candidate would be there is one ability in ability era that once the first attack hit, the following attack has 100% change to hit, it is probably called combo. This could be added to his normal non berserk attack) Or just give the berserk attack marksman.

EDIT: I am not sure if the overwhelm ability I mentioned exist, the mercenaries era has a overwhelm ability but looks like it is something different.

No problem. After finishing Kharos faction (old Priests) I'm going to update the Enlightened Ones. I will consider your ideas, but it won't be a fish like eye unit :P

Hats off to you, man! This is one of my favorite Eras, great work! The reason I like it so much is because the units in it are so well built for battle.

Hi, I have noticed a few bugs.
First, for some reason the ikarus unit can not level up, if level up it will say that it generated wrong trait and the game will quit. This happened on the 1.6 version with era of magic 10.
Also some times for no reason, my Summoner leader will have the wrong animation with idle animation happening very quickly so the unit looks like it is jumping constantly. I think this stopped once he level up (or attacked? I can't remember exactly.). This is a minor issue and perhaps no need to pay attention to unless it happens again.

What do you mean by the Summoner Leader? I haven't found this bug.

Hi, what I mean by summoner leader is the summoner II unit as a leader. When the game start the idle animation is played too frequently. I think it is just some random accident that it happened, did not happen again. So don't worry about it for now, if i see it happen again I will post it here.
Thank you for fixing the bug so fast, i have loaded my saved game and now I can see the Ikarus II upgrade available (it used to be just a (?) for upgrade), however I still cannot level up. I am not sure if starting a new game will fix this as I load my previous save file.

The message is:

Error
Error while playing the game: game_error:Unknown unit type '' while generating the traits

I am thinking it maybe related to a new trait being generated. I will try to play a new game sometime later to see if the problem remains (Maybe sometime in April, kind of busy those days.).

Icarus II has "advances_to=none" and I think that should be "advances_to=null". This is in 10.0.5.
