This thread has gotten 20 pages long and is getting a bit unwieldy. I will split it, moving everything but what is considered finished and of good enough quality into a seperat thread. Do not post unfinished images and comment on them in this thread, do that in the scratchpad thread. Ideally only icons that are considered to be up to the standard of the ones already commited should be posted here.

I don't know am I posting to the right thread, but I consider this one ready: A bane blade. I really happy with it. I didn't know I could draw like this. :) Happy happy, joy joy..

Sword is in different angle than the other swords Jetryl drew, but the skull would look silly when flipped.

These are great. Don't forget there is a flaming sword and (in user-made world) a sword with no metal in it at all (it's constructed from magical energy).

Oh wow. These are higher quality than Warcraft's.

Well done all.

I'm a bit unclear on how this thread is supposed to be working; there don't seem to be firm standards for 'finished'. Maybe one of the moderators (Frame? Jetryl?) should transfer art to here once it's approved rather than everyone posting their own? (They can do that in the other thread).

*EDIT* Ah, I see; this thread is for 'final' works as opposed to works-in-progress, not for 'final' as opposed to 'unofficial'.

I put it here, cause it's done. When Jetryl come, he will decide to commit it or not.

Not to mention that, but you're getting better as well. *tips hat* Especial commendations on that "lightning" icon.
Frame/Eleazar - if you want to do the honors w/r/t committing these, be my guest. I'm busy as all get-out. I love these "start school at 7:50am and end at 10pm" days.

Do Note: There are other icons I haven't spoken about, that is because various things need to be done to them before they can go in. And I can't do those now. Wolfy, here's looking at you; your patience, I hope, will remain with me.

These are the ones I figure are finished. I've only included the bigger versions of the lightning at this point 'cos I want to have another crack at making it more distinct at the lowest resolution.

Lightning icon:

Orcish sword (based on Jetryl's human sword).

An iceball. The picture composition is same as in the Jetryl's fireball.

EDIT: And now that I see this in another monitor, it seems to be too dark. Again. I hate my laptop.

Commited.

Artists, as you are working on you might want to prioritize the icons more frequently used. These 5 icons are great, 8) but they are only used by 7 or 8 mainline units.
Feel free to PM me if you start a new terrain oriented thread. It's easy for me to miss them among all the other art threads.

Since the most commonly used attacks like 'sword' seem to be popping up in unit-specific versions anyway, it probably doesn't make much difference...
