Just been toolin' around with the css for http://www.wesnoth.org
Here's an alternative that keeps the flavour of the original but spruces up certain aspects. The changes are subtle but numerous. In particular, the shaded sections, borders, menu links and pallette all got some attention.
Used moz borders liberally, so should look nicer in mozilla based browsers without compromising the others.
