Map updating

Post by Sea Elf »

Hi, I recently got back into Wesonth after about a years hiatus and I have all of these maps which I made a long time ago and they no longer work. It would be great if someone could list the letters that are equivalent to the differant terrains so I can start fixing my maps. Here they are if you want to fool around with them.

There is a nifty program in 1.3.13 which lets you automatically convert maps up to par. The program is called wmlint. If you're on Windows, you just move the maps to where wmlint is, (Wesnoth/data/tools) and look for the file wmlint. Change the extension so it is wmlint.py, then double click it to start it up, and it will automatically convert all your maps. For different OS I'm not sure exactly what must be done, but the steps aren't all that different.

Thanks, I hope it works. The maps are from around version 1.0 so it should work.
EDIT: I'm MacOSX user and I can't find this program

There's a programming language called python. You want the engine that comes with it. Just install python, and that should work.
