Hi uploaded version 2.3.9 from the 1.4 server that I, maybe a year ago by now, updated for 1.6.

There are some bugs such as displaying floating point numbers for the price of custom creeps. I played it for just a few minutes and it appears to 'work'. If people report bugs I will take some time to look into it.

Zeus and I have had some brainstormings sessions and maybe there are some improvements to implement. Currently some custom creeps are too powerful sometimes and regular creeps are not even viable long term right now.

Version 2.6.1 changes:
1. Removed bloodlust. A bug was causing it to to occur on all melee hero attacks, not just the blood lust weapon.
2. Removed the town portal scroll.
3. Changed the base cost for upgrading the maximum number of regular creeps (peasants) down to 100 gold from 125 gold.
4. Changed the bank robber blade to steal 4%, down from 5%.

Dervish_Rider suggested removing the ability for the goblin to level.

Personally I kind of liked it, it was a very annoying feature.

Well I noticed DotG was added to the 1.8 server so I got it and tested it out. It would appear that the terrain changes aren't functioning. Also, there is no bank option in the shop and there is no natural "bank" happening right now.

I ported DotG to 1.8 at the request of a friend (Malkor), though I haven't played it that much, so I have been relying mostly on him and the stderr to point me in the direction of stuff I need to fix. The terrain problem was just an outdated key, but as I understand it there is no banking option because it all occurs automatically when entering/leaving the shop.

edit- just re-uploaded it with the terrain fix.

Well in an old version, there was a bank option. You chose whether or not to put your gold into the bank and it would then increase by a percentage of the amount in the bank.

The descriptions make it sound different now, because your bank money wasn't affected by dying. You only lost money from your current amount when you died, so you could save money by keeping it in the bank. However, this is all from memory.

One thing is for sure, there is currently no banking system active.

I haven't changed the banking system in any way, so it works the same way as it did in the last update to 1.6, so all your gold you didn't spend is automatically added to the bank when you leave. There is also a ranged weapon and melee weapon that will steal money from your bank if they hit and when you die you lose 2 turns worth of interest.

example1: I go on the shop with 100 gold and leave immediately and now have 0 gold, next turn I go back on it and I now have 110 gold (100 + 10%) if I have 0 income.

example2: I go on the shop with 100 gold and leave immediately and then player 2 kills me. when I next go on the shop I will have 91 gold ((100 * .83) + 10%). the .83 is an approx. value, it actually 1/(1.1^2).

Ah now I see it working. Apparently I had spent so much gold I didn't notice the bank taking whatever pitiful leftover I had! It is indeed working.

Hi,
I will test it out, but just fyi, I have no interest in maintaining or updating DotG anymore. Please do as you will!

I will check in once in a while to see how it is doing.

One major thing that 'should' be changed: right click to enter the shop. This will sync it up so everyone knows someone is on the shop.

ok, new version with the right-click menu + 2 ai fixes. also, I started a thread for all add-ons I created/am maintaining, so if any further discussion could take place in that thread, that'd be great :) .

Yes it did die. Sorry for the year out of date response.

But yes, when it's been 5 years since the last response lol.

That's what happened to DotG. The greatest add-on ever! (jk)
