The idea and its motive are quite simple - it's sometimes annoying when you have to get online to check a small thing in the wml reference, and i found a similar thing about java tutorials on the Sun webpage..with a solution - they simply gathered all the files of the tutorials and zipped them into an offline version everyone could just download in one hop and read without need to connect to the internet every time.
Would it be a problem to make the same with the wesnoth wiki? at least the files from teh WML reference. Sure it's less flexible than the online version, but quite comfortable for a quick remote ref.

Apparently there are apps out there that can download whole wikis. At least, that's what I thought I saw posted on here.

Sorry for necromancy, but I interested in the subject.
Can anyone advise any specific tool to download wiki?
If anyone already have zipped reference, share it please.

Sorry for a late response, but...xudojnik wrote: Can anyone advise any specific tool to download wiki?
Through google, the first couple of sites (Simple search of "download websites") seem to allow such (See below) . When download it, though, be sure to share it to others, as using a 3rd party program like this can slow wesnoth.org. Also, when downloading them, make sure to only download the wiki ( http://wiki.wesnoth.org ), as other websites that are linked can just be a waste of hard drive space.

Thank you.
I just download wiki.
Here is it (without "User_*", "*_translation" pages). Let me know what I have missed.
