Several of our mainline campaigns are in the works for upgrades at the moment, which includes adding characters and enhancing existing scenarios. We are looking for more artwork to supplement these upgrades, including the following:
We are happy to announce that Wesnoth is now able to accept donations on Liberapay. While Wesnoth does rely on the work of dedicated volunteers, no project can function completely cost-free. Revenue from the Apple App Store and from donations goes towards maintaining our servers,...

It looks good at the bottom since the page isnt too long; i had no problem finding it.

Unfortunately, iPhone support for Wesnoth is still very much a work in progress and did not make it in for this update. This is due to Wesnoth currently having poor support for smaller screens since TinyUI, a UI mod that used to provide this...

Is the IOS version removed? I had to reinstall the game since my saves were corrupted (reinstall usually fixes it) and I realized that it was no longer on the app store.
The Battle for Wesnoth version 1.19.25 arm

No add-ons installed.
On the menu of campagnes, i can't see the RNG biaisé, it's written RNG prévisible in place but when in place m'y mouse on, incan read the description of the RNG biaisé....

I just encountered this problem when upgrading my iPhone. Luckily, I hadn't erased the old phone yet. I was able to follow the instructions in this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Daz1oQoAlHo to sideload Wesnoth from my old phone to my new one. Note: the Sideloadly config is in a...
There is no Raenna so i can`t finish the first part called Trouble with elves cause i got to move all heroes to the northern side of the map including Raenna.Any suggestions?
I play on IOS, for a few days I have had the issue of whenever i click on local multiplayer the load screen starts and then the game crashes and I am thrown out of the app. I tried deleating my mods, trying again then reinstalling. But that didnt work. So I uninstalled the app whilst retaining my...

I’m having this same issue but on the official server and connect to server options on my iPhone 15
So, I try to connect to the addons server and it does not connect and says “remote host disconnected”
I do not know what a remote host is nor did I need to do this any other time I played wesnoth, it just happened to day.
Not only that, I have the same issue on all mobile devices.
what is...

The 1.14 server is back up now, so it should be possible to download addons again from any device running Wesnoth 1.14 (at least for the time being).
A somewhat belated (sorry!) update for iOS is in progress.
I'm working on a couple of known bugs:
* When opening Add-Ons screen, if a certain (unknown) add-on is installed, the game crashes.
Known to reproduce on iPad Air 2, maybe on other hardware too. A workaround is to reinstall the game. Save...

The iOS port is unmaintained at this point, due to there no longer being anyone to maintain it.
Hi,
I have an iPad Air with iOS 12.4.5, I installed Wesnoth 1.14.11 and I play it regularly without any issues.
However, yesterday I wanted to try some new campaigns using the add-on manager, but the game crashes as soon as I press on the "connect" button.
Are you able to reproduce this...

Hello, been a long time since the last message, but I wanted to inform that I get the same crashes as the OP in my iPad Air 12.5.7. Wesnoth version is 1.14.13 and it happens when trying to access the add-on server. It loads almost to the end when connecting and crashes.
When I click the “Sign Up” button it does nothing and when I go to the official server it says my nickname is unregistered and I can’t find a way to register it now.

Your nick on the official server is your username on the forums
I’ve had two recent incidents where my entire campaign game saves are “gone” from the Load menu. No history, no replays, nothing. Both instances seem to happen after I didn’t play for more than a full day (seems to not...

Registered to only say thank you!
All my saves disappeared from my iPad after not playing for a couple of days.
Downloading them from iCloud restored them.
Thanks a bunch!
on the first time thank you for this game it is great full to find a game that is able to be played on the most machines old or not and by all os that I use. it is on off me oldest time killer that I have.

Another question on the differences between Wesnoth 1.14 for iOS and Wesnoth 1.14 desktop version.
My campaign (Bloodlust) has now a translation in French, which is used when Wesnoth language is selected to be French, on desktop Wesnoth. But it is not the case with the iOS Wesnoth.
I have in...

Thank you. That was the mistake I made.
I don't know why it worked on Android.
I looked for, and did not find a list of differences between the desktop and the iOS version. For my campaign (named Bloodlust) I have defined an additional menu item (hotkey being shift-i) which uses some lua code defined in a "lua.lua" file. This "lua.lua" file is loaded by "_main.cfg" by The...

I have found a workaround.
Instead of having the lua functions as described above in a lua.lua file loaded by a [lua] tag in the _main.cfg, I have them in a [lua] tag in a utils/lua.cfg file
I do not know if I am an isolated case but I am running Wesnoth on iPadPro and whenever I try to connect to the Add-ons server the iPad has a Remote host disconnected error. Please see attached screen capture. The application does not crash. The resolution is not the best for I was...

Hello Doofus-01,
Thanks for your reply and your Bad Moon Rising campaign.

Hello,
I’m on Iphone, and I just downloaded the app a few days ago. I encounter an issue when I save a game : at first no problem I backup the game when I want to stop playing, and I can leave the app and resume playing later by clicking on the backup. But if I stop to play for more than one day,...

2 suggestions. I know there has been some previous discussions around zoom on the iPad & iPhone but I have been finding with the pinch feature it I often accidentally am zoom in and out when I am trying to move a unit or do some other command. I would suggest a menu option for zooming in an...

Thanks for your suggestions!
Do you zoom because you touch a screen with another finger, or does it happen when you drag one finder over the screen?
If it's the latter, then it's a bug. If it's the former, well... We may introduce an advanced option to do so.
Hello,
I have the 1.10 version of Wesnoth and wanted to upgrade to the 1.14 version. In the App Store it says there should be a free upgrade to the newer version but the only option in the bundle costs $4. Is this an error or intentional and the upgrade is no longer free?

We got a report that the problem may fix itself in a few days. Did this by chance happen to you?
They say that in a similar cases, Apple support recommended users to contact the iTunes Support directly, referring to a case number.
Our Apple Developer Support case number is 101137386926.
Hey, so I just bought the Battle for Wesnoth HD ios app, as it was one of my favorites when I had it on the Mac a while back, and I realized that its almost too zoomed in to play. I cant see where I'm going, and making moves is so difficult. Is there anyway to zoom out a bit??
Thanks
Last post
Yes, it's possible in a very limited fashion - 50% and 25% zoom.
It's planned. I will take a stab at it in this update.
Thank you!
As I went through feedback on the App Store, I felt the need for there to be a single location for updates about progress on the iOS version in order to give better visibility to what's going on. This may also invite more feedback as well.
The latest update, Dec 23rd 2019, was labelled...

Yet another fix for context menu released. I got a confirmation that it fixes the problem.
I just downloaded the game and all of the buttons are unclickable in the drop downs. If I tap I can see they highlight so it registers I’m pressing but nothing happens. If I click 100 times it will work but that’s insanely infuriating. Suggestions?

I’ve submitter 1.14.11 to AppStore a few hours ago. It should have the context menu bug fixed.
I have also withdrawn and re-submitted the bundle. It was stuck in Apple review for some their technical reasons. They have questions for the bundle, but because of their technical issues I cannot even...

iOS version with a fixed context menu crash released.
Apple had fixed our account, and now I could actually see the bundle rejection reason.
The reason for a bundle to be rejected was that the recent (HD) version and the old version had the same icon. Thanks Vultraz for helping figure out how to...
I played all of the way through Heir to the Throne and enjoyed it and got through it with no major problems. I’ve been doing the same with Eastern Invasion until I got to Captured.

Hi. If you have the HD version (1.14), please check that iCloud is enabled in Settings for Wesnoth app. Worst case, after it launches, it should sync the saves to iCloud, this can be verified in the Files app.
If you have the old iPhone version (1.10), then not much can be done, I’m afraid. But...
I can’t access the official server from iPhone 7, what's the problem?

You don't need to buy the HD version, by the way. App bundle that upgrades iPhone version to HD for free is in Apple review now.
We couldn't do it before because of the way Apple publishing works.
I've been playing through some long campaigns lately (halfway through Invasion from the Unknown) and without thinking, installed the latest update. As soon as I launched the 1.14.8 version (app version on the app store, release notes say 1.14.9) the game crashes to the background. I reluctantly...

Phew. For some reason I was thinking it kept crashing.

It looks like you are using iPhone version, which is 1.10 now (unless you are a part of TestFlight testing team).
