I noticed that when I was using 7.11 (or was it 7.10) the mages attacked with a hit percentage of about 70%, which is of corse what they are suppose to. However now I am playing Rise of Wesnoth (version 8.3) and there attack percentage is way below 70%. I mean I am lucky if I get in just one hit....
There is a problem with the server lag. Its a major problem when I was running my own server. The lag seems to multipy when any of the clients logged on try to do anything, such as typing. The lag start showing up when 4 or more players are logged on to my server. Perhaps its only the interface...

Units with roles seem to lose them from one scenario to the next... is this intentional? I was planning on using #1 suggested here , but it can't work if roles aren't retained.

I'm currently playing the Son of the black eye campaign but after the Saving inarix level the game says it can't find the next map. I downloaded the most recent version today(september 16) but the game still can't find it.

when I try to launch the game the screen goes black. The sound is still there, but there is nothing else I can do. Task manager is inaccessible and I have to reset the machine.

One more question: Victory condition is : move one of your units
into a hex(say a temple). But, there is a trap there and you are surrounded by opponent forces, so I need to modify
the victory condition to:
kill all the oppenents near the given hex.
What is the best way of doing this?
In The Sea Voyage campaign, i have you return to one scenario multiple times, and i want the place where a unit called The Explorer is to change depending on which scenario you are coming from.
Why doesn't this code make The Explorer be in a different place when you start the scenario?
